I hear ya but we’ve reached 12 wins 3 consecutive seasons . Is it all about weaker schedules ?

About half the teams or more in the NFL hover around .500 or below so it’s most likely most of your wins are going to be against lesser teams.

We can’t control our schedule . Yes, we have struggled against better teams but I’d imagine most of the less than Elite teams do.

In most cases we have lost to better teams in the playoffs as well. Do we need to build a better team ? Of course .

What I know is that the Jones family, Jason Garrett and Dak Prescott (and several others to a lesser degree) owe an extremely large debt of gratitude to the Washington and New York Giants franchises.

I fully agree, but I also believe that certain situations have made certain people appear to be better at what they do than they actually are.

I understand our frustrations with lack of playoff success but who does a total rebuild with this level of success however disappointing the ending?

Yes, we have set some historic futilities in the playoffs but this team is still ranked in top 4 of the conference.

No this isn’t 2003 or even 2011 when rebuilds were needed. Instead we should be retooling at the very least and continuing to attempt to build upon the current team.

You don't build around a crap QB like Dak....an aging RB like Zeke. Your WR room is almost empty...You take away Lamb...who in that room scares you???? Nobody. Retool is a more accurate term. The FO does a little of that every season.

You do if you aren't satisfied with going one and done in the playoffs. If regular season accomplishments are your thing, then yes, keep going with the status quo every damn year.

12 wins means nothing to me anymore. Can't even make an NFCCG when everything falls into place. Heck The Eagles collapse gave us the NFCE.

The NFC has been Historically weak for the last 3 years.....if we had been in the AFC our record would be quite different

The problem is you guys are not taking the salary cap era into account. 3 consecutive 12 win seasons with no playoff success, really just mean you are in a stagnant stage. You have two choices really 1) continue to pay your current players on an escalating scale, where a few players (in our case unsuccessful player(s) eat the majority of the salary pie, or 2) reset with a new players. That is how the modern NFL is set to run, love it or hate it.

They're stagnant because their standard operating procedure hit its ceiling. We've had a slight variation of the same team the past three years. They're not going to magically become a great football team without some effort to do so.

Maybe Jerry's comments of All-In are because this is his last year.

Maybe he did not resign or extend anyone because he is leaving that decision up to new ownership next season.

Maybe Jerry seen how much money Snyder made selling the crappy Skins and decided it is time.

Maybe Jerry is afraid of Cap Boy doing a better job than he did.

Maybe Jerry see the hostile takeover coming from his son and decided to make a move before it happens.

At this point I don't see how anything can be ruled out.

The Cowboys in 1971 were frustrated after losing the Super Bowl and 2 previous first round exits in the playoffs.

But it didn’t bring about a rebuild. It just brought about a change at QB. Maybe there’s something to be learned here?

The problem is though do we have another HOF caliber QB sitting on the bench? I doubt it.

If anyone can prove Kurt Warner and Cole Beasley wrong about those 2 INTs vs the Packers playoff loss, I will listen.

Until then, it's just more confused complaining as usual.

Nope. Neither. We just proceed as normal. Jerry is the master at convincing the masses every year that we are one or two players (while loving our guys) away from a Super Bowl. For him to do either of those would mean that he'd have to admit that he was wrong with past choices. He'll never do that.
