On Mike & Mike today they had ESPN analyst ex Cowboy Darren Woodson in to talk a little football. They asked him who scares him outside of the NFC East div. and he said Minnesota because w/their ability to stop the run as well as run the ball they are built for Dec & Jan.

Mike then asked him who he thought the team to beat was in the NFC East and he said the MIDGETS!

Woodson continued to say that the MIDGET win @ Dallas in the playoffs was crippling mentally to the Boy's and they would have to beat the MIDGETS twice again this season to redeem their confidence.

I agree with Woodson. That win against us in Dallas could have future repercussions... that remains to be seen.

I disagree about having to beat them 2x during regular season to redeem ourselves. It means nothing.

Playoff wins mean EVERYTHING.

Even Nate said the same thing. And I agree, till you beat the champs, they are the champs, since they earned. Although their envy of Cowboys seems limitless, which is pretty amusing :D

They won the Superbowl. That makes them the team to beat.

I will be shocked if anyone disagreed with him on that point.

The host of the show did because he basically said we were the NFC East champs last year, have the most talent, and won 2 out of 3 times.

Regardless though the Giants are the team to beat for all 31 other teams in the league. They are the champs until further notice.

No. It is the Midgets who have lost two straight games to Dallas at the Meadowlands. It is Dallas who won the division and the number one seed last year and beat them twice. Yeah, they lost the playoff game, but we are talking about the division and NFC, and Dallas beat them twice last year to win the number one seed in the NFC.

When they put on their "vaunted" red jersies in November, they will have pressure to beat us for the first time since 2005 on their home field. After all, they are the almighty ones.

We'll see about this big "mental" block. I'll take that bet all night and our players against theirs, every single time.

This isn't college. Romo will hang at least 30 on them in November and beat them again in December.

This team doesn't scare me one bit. Dallas knows how to beat them, and they will.

Run, the 10-6 Giants are coming. Hide the children.

Please.

I'm glad Woodson said that, though.

Division wins always mean something. Those are the games that you have to win.

Just like the G-Men HAD to beat us last year? Seems to me they did just fine against us in January.

I honestly dont see how...we did whatever we wanted to them in the first two games...the only things that kept us from doing it a 3rd time were injuries to Owens & Romo, and some very poor calls by the officials

Playoff wins mean EVERYTHING.

that I will agree with...barring a serious run of major injuries, there's simply no excuse for this team to not win at LEAST a game or two in the postseason

The Giants beat us because they played a mistake free game and scored when they needed to and stopped us when they needed to. Romo had a bad thumb and TO was knicked but they're supposed to overcome that. They also had a very good pass rush and hurried Romo and sacked him.

In other words they outplayed us.

Like I said, THAT remains to be seen. I am not banking on that but you never know.

If I recall correctly the Giants did whatever they wanted to us too. They hung 35 on us first time. The 2nd time the game was close until the end. So it was not one-sided.

This is a proud moment for me in cowboyszone history. Cowboy fans actually having football sense and not fan bias, although I'm the biggest biased fan around, the truth is the truth.

Now for the fan in me, I'm pretty sure we'll kick that giant tail en route to the SB this year. :D

QFT!

How refreshing to have a rational, open minded dialogue without people accusing those that acknowledge other teams strengths as been Haters/Trolls/Etc.

It is the truth.....we must beat them

Yea, we must beat them when it counts. Obviousy the fact that we beat them at home and on the rload by double digits last year wasn't so crippling on the Giants. We just need to play our game and the rest will take care of itself.
