They won the Superbowl. That makes them the team to beat.

Not necessarily. They won the Super Bowl LAST YEAR. Why does everyone think last year's champion is always the team to beat? Not true. We all start off 0-0. They lost some key contributors from last year's team and we gained talent. Last year and this year have nothing to do with one another.

Most people aren't making them the favorites to repeat. The Pats, Colts, Chargers, and probably the Steelers and the Jags are as good or better. The Cowboys are better. Carolina, the Saints, the Vikes, and maybe the Lions are darkhorses esp the latter two. I just don't know where to put the Skins or Eagles yet but they could be in that last pack.

Always good to hear from Darren Woodson so here he is talking NFC East football...

Woody talks NFC East

It stinks, but I have to agree with Woody that the Giants are the team to beat because they are the Super Bowl Champs.

The Cowboys smashed them twice last season so they can do it again this year.

Why not three times? Because I don't think the Giants make the playoffs this season.

That's great. Someone out there should be propping the Giants. They won the Super Bowl last year.

Plus, it takes pressure off us. ;)

Good job, Woody.

clearly the giants are the media darlings and to me they come off as arrogant and I am currently in a rage from having heard woody.

Now if you will excuse me I have to go practice my jump shot dance, I am going to use it after every cowboy tackle tomorrow night in my living room.

This is a proud moment for me in cowboyszone history. Cowboy fans actually having football sense and not fan bias, although I'm the biggest biased fan around, the truth is the truth.

Now for the fan in me, I'm pretty sure we'll kick that giant tail en route to the SB this year. :D

Woodson is a troll/hater :D

In the end, we are better the Giants, pure and simple. We crushed them twice last year and should have won the game in January. We still went 2-1 against them last year and have won three of the last four against them.

We play our game and they can't beat us.

I have spoken

I agree but people say they are the team to beat because it seems like a cool thing to do.

Many don't see them as the team to beat although I don't see them as being a W on our schedule. I expect them to be one of the tougher challenges on our schedule and I expect them to be in the playoffs.

But to make excuses for out loss last year in the manner some do or to write them off is not being reasonable.
