Receivers Not Getting Open

There were plenty of misses, and I don't know how many guys were open who Dak just didn't find.

I know they were talking up the WRs not being open, but I'm not sold on it.

If they are bad, the playbook is bad......the offensive line is bad.......it's up to Dak to run the routes, catch the ball and block for himself too..
Its a slippery slope for the rest of the offense when the QB and coach are bad. A good WR cant change Daks inaccuracy.

Huh???....I thought Dez was the problem.
His salary was too high. Didn't you know that Stephen is looking out for his inheritance? Cant' be just throwing money away.

I think a study of the All-22 is going to show Dak missed a lot of open guys and also got himself into a lot of trouble with horrible pocket presence. He carried himself into quite a few pressures and sacks and locked on to guys all day.

There was nowhere for Dak to throw the ball.
I was lead to believe that without Dez and because of Sanjay Lal that WRs would be WAY better and open and ready

of course, a few times when guys did get open, Dak was short on passes

Taylor Gabriel is looking fantastic for the Bears right now. You know that guy I wanted to pair WITH Dez...

A good NFL quarterback can throw his receivers open. And hit wide open guys running down the seam.

Dak throwing a lot of balls into the ground in front of receivers. Reminds me of Donovan McNabb at the end of his career.

Although, no reason to get upset. Dak is what he is... go back and read his NFL.com predraft writeup.... it is spot on. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2016/profiles/dak-prescott?id=2555260

I refuse to believe, with all the people who have come through Dallas under Garrett, the receivers, the OL, the QB, that no one other than an elite Dez could get open regularly and it's THEIR fault every year. The constant is Garrett/Linehan and the playcalling/system. The issue is, talent has carries this team to some very good years regardless and it's bough this staff time and clout. There will be no masking it this year. The talent isn't good enough.

Remember that thread after that one preseason game where people were entertaining the idea of Gallup topping 1k receiving yards this year :muttley:

Yeah, what a bunch of morons jumping to conclusions after just one game.

This bunch just isnt anything special. With the exception of Beasley, as soon as they catch the ball they're going down. Nobody is a threat after the catch unlike someone that we had here for a long time.

Oh wait ...

I told myself there is no way, even a full blown Dak apologist, who would post defending that infield grounder Dak threw to Jarwin standing alone. Dak even did his patented full blown wind up, contorting his body to try and put some 20 yard velocity on that epic failure. Dont be surprised if he loses a sponsor over that. That doesn't inspire me to buy yogurt.
Nice try though.

I coughed up something that looked like yogurt when he threw it.

Just saw the Bears with all these creative plays and getting their players the ball I space.

Have NEVER seen that with dallas

Dunno, I saw some open WR's tonight and balls thrown wide, or to the ground and too high.

But yeah, the Panther's D is legit.
