Your son....surrrrrrrrreeeee. Dude I don't even understand your love for the packers. Why even bother being a cowboys fan when you like them at least as much as the cowboys.

The liked factor is probably just a super bowl bump, combined with the Packers having a pretty large fanbase to start with.

But no team moves the needle quite like Dallas. Everyone has an opinion on them one way or another, whereas milque toast teams like Green Bay people can just "like" and be happy for their success.

As far as which teams move the needle, it's what you'd expect. The Cowboys consistently draw the most interest nationally among NFL teams -- its Thanksgiving Day game against the Dolphins drew 30.9 million viewers, the most-watched television show this fall. The Packers Dec. 4 win over the New York Giants was the most-watched (29.8 million) Sunday telecast this season.

You'll find that consistently every year Dallas will hold 4 of the top 5 telecast spots or something like that.

I'm willing to make a bold prediction right now. Packers will not make it.

They are a great team but I think the Jan weather is going to hurt Rodgers and that passing game. Last year in some cold weather games in the post season James Stark went out and produced in their running game Rodger play was not great.

They go to Alt and Rodgers plays a great game in a dome stadium. Add to that GB defense was playing lights out last season and while they can still make big plays they give up a lot more than they did last season

It's the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, of course the Packers are the most popular. If it were a DMN poll, the Cowboys would be most popular...

Consider the audience...and I don't think 11% of people who live in Dallas would say GB is their favorite team. This article reinforces Dallas' popularity believe it or not.

I prefer being the most hated. It means we matter to people.

Being the Yankees of the NFL isn't necessarily a bad thing.

While the Packers may be the most popular (liked) team in the USA if you expand that aperture a bit to North American (and possibly the world) I'm confident the Cowboys would be the most liked. We have a very strong ans significant following in Mexico and other parts of Latin America.

Trust me when I say this. Polls are flawed indicators of popularity.

If you want to find out which team is really the most popular there are two indicators which cannot be denied.

1. TV Ratings
2. Merchandise sales

I guarantee you if you go searching for those, you'll find the Cowboys and likely the Steelers ahead of the Packers.

Popularity is for cheerleaders and Homecoming Kings though. Hatred is the real price of legend. I want the hatred more than I do the praise.

I guess if "by exposed" you mean a national polling organization polling 700 people nationwide.

This is the outfit that conducted the poll:

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/

I don't detect at Wisconsin regional bias in their website.

No one gives a **** about that silly poll. There is a list of hundreds of them that have proven time and time again that Dallas is America's team. Most loved, most hated, most talked about, deal with it. Hell your posting on a Cowboys website as a Packers fan, that should speak volumes for the poularity of this team.

The only thing people care about, are why someone would pretend to be a fan of another team. That's just delusional.

Packers are a good story right now, I don't think they want to be America's team. It's a heavy burden, only the Cowboys can carry.

He's basically a Packer fan too. I think he had said a lot of his family were so he grew up as one. One of those two team fans. I don't have a real problem with them, because of the family situation. Sometimes it's hard to root against who your family chooses when you want to go another direction.

I used to like the Raiders when i was little because my dad did.

Also, a search for threads started by perrykemp, of the first 25 results, 13 are about or include comparisons of the Packers:

You guys win a Superbowl and practically go undefeated yet are in the news half as much as America's Team. Must feel strange to be attention trumped by a measly 8-6 team. No worries, you're still America's Cheese.
