Anyone else excited for this? it's out on Tuesday in the US, Friday in Europe

I can't imagine this will be bad R* make some of the best open world games around and are amongst the best in story telling as well

I remember enjoying Red Dead Revolver years back....this obviously looks like an updated version of that.

I'd probably be interested in this just because I think the Western genre in video games is cool as hell, but seeing this all but assures I'll be buying it.

If Rockstar puts in as much effort with this as they have their GTA line, it's going to be pretty bad ***.

I'm looking forward to it, for sure, but I won't be getting it right away. I already put down my money for the UFC 2010 game that is coming out in a couple of weeks and that's what my extra cash that I can blow at the moment is going to. I will be getting RDR at some point because it looks great.

I'll also be pre-ordering my copy of Madden 2011 either tomorrow or Tuesday but that is neither here nor there.

As far as the game I was talking with a worker at Gamestop today and he said they got to play an early release version of it and that the game world you get to explore and travel in on this game is 30 square miles.

He said it's the biggest, by far, that Rockstar has ever done and said that their San Andreas game, I believe is the one he mentioned, was the biggest world to play in at the time it came out and it was 15 square miles.

So RDR has an explorable world twice the size. Sounds like they really put a lot of effort into this game.

I saw a video of gameplay yesterday. The guy playing tied up a nun, rode his horse to some train tracks, dropped her body on the tracks, and the train made a mess of her.

If you go to Ebay and search for "NEW Red Dead Redemption" you should get a Buy.com listing selling the game for $45 bucks with free shipping and no tax.
Not sure how long shipping takes, but if you weren't going to rush out and buy it anyway, might be worth it.

Not a big gamer. I figured the only game I planned on buying in the future was Diablo III when it is released. However this one looks pretty interesting.

I know, but my son is so excited to play the new Mario that he can hardly stand it. That is good enough to look the other way when games like this come out.

Really wish I could dive into RDR for about a week straight, though.
