It is late here on the East Coast. I'm sure I missed a lot of guys. :D
It's fine.

Funny, one of my hobbies in the offseason is to read books on football history (esp those aspects I'm not too familiar with)

I need my football fix in some form or another, 12 months a year.

For Xmas my cousin gave me a Bill Romanowski book (It said "ROMO" on the cover and he thought it was Tony Romo), and he gave me an Ice Bowl book.

I'm gonna read them, not sure they'll be "pleasant" reads :D

I found out I need to research that era a lot more. From 1960 on I have a fair grasp. Prior to 1960 I know a little about the Hall of Famers and the NFL Chmapionships and the basic high points. I memorized that poem about 10 years ago. No reason other than it was about a football player. This off season I'll do some more homework. Here's hoping it takes a while to get to it.
Not NFL, but I would recommend the book Carlisle vs. Army, which focuses on the 1912 game between the two schools, ( I just started it)as I think it could be up your alley.

In 1921, Ted Nesser, the player/coach for the Columbus Panhandles, played Center for the team and snapped to his 22-year old son, Charlie Nesser, who played tailback. I believe it is the only time a father and son played on the same team or at the same time in the NFL (not sure though).

There were six Nessers on that 1921 team plus another brother, Al Nesser, who played for the Akron Pros that season. Six brothers and Ted's son all played in the NFL that year.

You can read about some of their history at: http://www.footballresearch.com/articles/frpage.cfm?topic=columbus
