Zoners: Our REDZONE problems/issues are nearly over as word came from the man himself DEZ Bryant (through is twitter account) that his ankle is feeling great.

Dez_88 is the real acct

DEZ_88

I should be getting verified tomorrow hopefully about 1 hour ago via Echofon

RT @DEZ_88: I should be getting verified tomorrow hopefully. < About time! Haha

I could tell in training camp last week observing DEZ daily in that boot that he just looked comfortable moving around catching the football on the sidelines.

Two of our coaches told me also that we are lucky the injury was not worse and Dez will be back sooner rather then later;)

We desperately need DEZ in our RED ZONE offense! Too many times we stall out in the RED ZONE and have to settle for 3 pts (and this FG stuff is an adventure lately)

DEZ is simply the most talented WR that has EVER put on a Cowboys uniform—period. Now, can he translate his talent (speed, jumping, hands, size, focus, strength etc.) to the playing field? Time will tell, however I like his chances Zoners!

This is one bad dude folks based on ALL of the plays I witnessed him make in training camp before the injury!

Go Cowboys—SUPER BOWL BOUND! :)

I have no problem with you being optimistic, but this is not optimistic. This is ridiculous. You just disrespected legends of the Cowboys.. Dez has not even completed 30 practices with the team yet, he has not stepped onto any playing field to play as a Cowboy - yet you are saying he is the most talented WR that has ever put on a Cowboys uniform - and you follow it up with a "-period." ?

Dez may be talented, but let's watch him in 16 games before we consider him the best WR to ever don a Cowboys uniform. Hell, at least wait three regular season games?

lol--read it again.....I said "most talented" not "productive" and I stick by that statment.

As a matter-of-fact.....one of our coaches (whom I was invited to his room to discuss the Cowboys) said the same thing) most TALENTED WR .....not the BEST.....that is yet to be determined.:)

Holy crap.

Love the optimism CC, but this may be better served at a time when the player you're touting isn't sitting on the bench, and the team didn't play a game the night before where they not only failed to score in the red zone....but they looked like crap while not scoring in the red zone. Again.

I heard Dez Bryant does things in a minicamp practice against Jamar Wall that Bob Hayes or Michael Irvin could only dream of.

They were just trying to force a TD to Roy to get people off of his back.

He was open but Romo missed under pressure.

ok....I will give you that....your intitled to your opinion.....but, if this kid stays injury free.....you will be singing his praises! He is that good.....and BTW....he beat our Pro Bowlers Jenkins and Newman routinely like it was nothing.....those guys did not have a clue how to cover DEZ

He was blasted on the sack on the throw. It wasn't just pressure. :laugh2: I agree that the redzone worries will be over. Just once the line sures up a bit.

Holy crap, you didnt get any of his sarcasm in his post? lol

I think we need to do a better job of running the ball down in the redzone if you can do that you open up holes for the passing game off the play action and bootlegs.

He's still in a walking boot, so he won't be back sooner... High ankle sprain is a injury that takes alot of time to heal, and even when you think you're 100%, you find out that you're really about 70%.

Can everyone stop with the best to ever put on a cowboy uniform, he's a rookie, and has a long way to go before the final word can be said about dez. As Bill Parcells says, put the anointing oils away.

It's good to see the ole' CC that we all know and love back in full force!

The optimism is back.

Go Cowboys!

Having watched all 50 years of the Cowboys from their inception, with the exception of Bob Hayes, this is the most excited I have been about a reciever in all that time, if he lives up to his hype and my expectations for him, and has the longevity of Jerry Rice, this kid could wind up being very special in the NFL as well as the record books.......................

I think just about any receiver with the "longevity of Rice" would be considered special, by that team's fans at the very least.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty damn excited about this guy......but this is getting WAY out of hand.

It's almost to the point that he would HAVE to have a HOF career to live up to his hype. It's too much....just let the kid play football. Lets talk about accolades if he makes it 6-7 years down the road....it's a marathon, not a sprint, in the NFL.

The RedZone problems will be over when Jason Garrett learns how to call running plays inside the 20 yard line......:banghead:

What part of "IF" escapes you friend, there have been many with the longevity of a Jerry Rice who just amounted to that longevity, being in the league a long time don't make you great, ex: Vinny Testeverde, but if, let me repeat that for the learning or reading impaired, if he lives up to hype and expectations he could be the next great Cowboys reciever and very special in this league..........

The "if" did not escape me, my friend.

Perhaps my post was a little too vague for you. Apparently my suggestions have alluded you....let me be more succinct...

You brought up longevity and Jerry Rice.

I attempted to illustrate that any player that manages to build a career with a team such as Rice had would "likely" be considered "special", at the very least by the fans of the team that he had accrued such a lengthy tenure with. I never mentioned "great", but then I'm guessing its OK for you to make such assumptions while I, on the other hand, am not granted the same concerning your post on a rookie WR that hasn't even played his first preseason game and yet somehow has been mentioned in the same post with the likes of Bob Hayes and Jerry Rice.....

Not really a hard concept, and one I don't think many people would disagree with. After all, I'd think that in order to have such a career at this point in the NFL, considering the nature of free agency, you'd probably have to have amassed some legitimate production along the way. No?

No one is learning or reading impaired here, friend. Simply voicing my opinion on the borderline absurdity of this hype machine. Let him do something first....I don't think it's too much to suggest.

Simply trying to promote tempered enthusiasm for a player we all hope is special.

...but thanks for your useless, condescending contribution. :)
