Since he also founded the Bengals, I am going out on a limb and saying that orange was his or his wife's favorite color.

I've always felt the Bengals had one of the best helmets in the NFL. It's great.

The Eagles, Vikings, and Rams are very good too.

Cowboys, of course, is great.

The Patriots look terrible enough as it is but they would look extra goofy in that cartoonish stars and stripes get up, but their old snapping minuteman uni was at least adequete and not outrageous.

Yes he was quite the narcissist naming a team the Browns and there was bad blood when he left and founded the Bengals, purposely making their helmet as Brown like as possible out smite; this was the original design until altered in the 1980s:

I'm pretty sure that I saw Evel Knievel wearing that helmet at some point in his career. I'm not sure I liked the other designs, either. The Skull and Crossbones just screams really lame motorcycle gang.

Brown at first objected to the name and the team selected from the contest entries the name "Panthers." However, after an area businessman informed the team that he owned the rights to the name Cleveland Panthers from an earlier failed football team, Brown rescinded his objection and agreed to the use of his name."
