The Cowboys are getting a head start on this weekend’s cuts to 53 by parting ways with a spare quarterback.
According to Todd Archer of ESPN.com, the Cowboys are releasing quarterback Clayton Thorson and offensive lineman Adam Redmond.

Yes once they clear waivers, if not picked up elsewhere. They can sign them to the PS right away on Saturday. Not have to wait until Sunday, for the 24 hour rule.

I think they are gambling that an early release may help them slide through. I can't imagine some team won't like Redmond better than who they have backing up C and G.

That means McGover and Biadazz are performing well.

Redmond filled in nicely for Martin during the limited time Martin was out.
