They were.. however where I part ways is the non-calls against the Giants.. The PI on Lamb, the offsides on the first INT, the dozen fireman's carry take downs of our pass rushers that went uncalled. Some of them the linemen damn near threw our pass rushers onto the back judge.. He nimbly stepped out of the way but had no inkling of reaching for his flag. How about the two receivers blocking in the end zone on their "rub route" TD at the end of the game. Just too many fouls by the Giants ignored for me to adjudge this game to have been called fairly.
This is where I get fired up about the refs too. It's the inconsistency on when they feel like calling a foul. For example from this game: We see Dallas get a flag for our offensive linemen throwing down a defender. Ok, it was a legit flag. I wasn't mad at the ref for it. Then a series or so later, here is a Giants offensive linemen trying to block a defender rushing Jones for a sack, and he basically tackles the defender. No flag.

I'm like "Wait a minute? This was a penalty 10 minutes ago!" It's maddening.

Actually thought the penalty he was irate about was a weaksauce call and I’d have been furious about it too. Overall though, not terrible game by refs
It didn't affect the play at all, but technically it was a penalty. I was fine with it after some of the calls that weren't made, like the PI's.

#1 The hold on Shultz was a complete joke. Of course it negated a big run. Especially egregious with all the actual holding perpetrated every series on Parsons. When is the last time one of those was called?
#2 Illegal hands to the face call was a joke as well. A DB jammed the receiver at the line and his hand touched the receivers face mask. He didn’t grab or pull on it.
#3 Ceedee Lamb is constantly bumped or held when running a route down the middle of the field. One resulted in an incomplete that should have been an illegal contact and the other resulted in an interception which should have been PI.

Cowboys are penalty magnets. At times it seemed like there was a penalty every other play.

I'll never understand why this issue just continues year after year. We have enough talent. Just line up and play football.

What changed the momentum of this game.
NY going for it on 4th down. Jones was hurried, and his pass to Barkley was incomplete. Then later they showed NY had only 10 men on the field.

We didn't stop them. They stopped themselves. They just don't have enough hang with us if we're playing well.

It has been an apparent league memo to refs that they can allow the Cowboys' opponents to hold without fear of drawing a flag. I will never get over that 9 game stretch a couple of years ago when NOT ONE SINGLE SOLITARY holding penalty was called against a Cowboy opponent. It's absolutely disgusting. I will never get mad if they call holding on one of our guys if we are holding.. but I am going to be pissed when they blatantly ignore it by the other team. I don't care what you call.. so long as you call it the same for both teams. In too many games over the years, that has clearly not been the case for the Cowboys. What makes me madder is when people chime in with "you can't leave it up to the refs." Listen bud, IT'S ALWAYS UP TO THE REFS... They can take over a game any time they want to. They can take away big plays or points away from you any time they want because we all KNOW they can call holding on every play and be correct. Or they can allow your opponent to ignore the rules of the game completely.

Sooner or later, Brian Daboll may discover that NFL reps don't get intimidated easily. It's a big part of their training.

Actually the refs had a good game IMO.

Lots of penalties but most were legit, and it certainly didn’t decide anything.

exactly. I noticed the umpire totally not paying attention on a hold by the giants so I make sure to really keep an eye on that idiot. I took a picture of the screen and you see what I think is the right tackle blatantly hold and then tackle our pash rusher. It would have likely lead to a sack or a bad pass. But anyways umpire sees it and doesn’t even flinch. so I go check the NFL ref positions and it says this clown is only responsible for the left side and he is secondary for watching the qb. So does that mean he is not allowed to throw a flag for a player on the right side? I always thought they had their role but if they see something they throw the flag and then all go huddle to discuss what the flag thrower saw and then ref makes an announcement. If I have been wrong this whole time and they can only call penalties on players who are under their “responsibility” then that would be so easy to take advantage of. Just learn the tendencies of each ref and then bend the rules to take advantage of whatever their bias as a ref is. I wish I could post the picture cause I know I’m not the only one who saw this

Not a chirp though from fans about the flag that took a TD off the board for the Giants early on, or that ticky tac “hold” or illegal hands on that deep pass to Lamb that extended a drive on a failed 3rd down pass.

Nah, those were excellent calls.

While we’re at it, no whining about that blatant missed hold on Diggs in the Vikings game where he held Jefferson by the collar on that deep pass early in the game.

That coach better be careful. He looked ready to stroke out at any minute. And he was sweating profusely on the sidelines. Why don’t guys like him take advantage of the resources available and lose weight and get healthy…

the illegal blocker downfield had zero effect on the play and should have not been called, to me. If you want every penalty to be called don't complain when they are.

Ya we’ve had our share of breaks but it does at times seem that the scales are tilted too much toward opponents

I think it all stems from our perception of the public spat between Godell and Jones and Rogers control of things
The Dez non catch don’t help either now many cowboy fans just feel slighted when we don’t get every call
But you’re right I’ve seen the cowboys benefit a lot this year
I still think CeeDee was interfered with in OT of the Green Bay game but it is what it is we shouldn’t have been in that spot to begin with

I thought it was a pretty decent reffed game.

Sometimes there are always a few questionable calls. But I didn’t see any that went one way or the other, or changed any possible outcome momentum change.

Maybe because Dallas had a lot of penalties it seemed lopsided. However most of those were mental mistakes and were penalties.

What changed the momentum of this game.

many on Giant website want to equally blame Jones for that 4th down throw to Barkley. Not me…Barkley has to make that catch even if slightly behind him. Especially hearing he wants Zeke money for his next contract…..sigh
