Stumbled upon an interesting site while looking up info on Morelli:

This isn't a bash the refs post or anything, I just found the stats interesting and thought I would share.

Wow, we lost the game the moment Morelli was named the Referee for our game.

Home teams are doomed with Morelli.

the question is, how does an official with a questionable record end being a playoff referee,,, and assigned to our home game ta 'boot?

11-3 penalty disparity in this game,,,, 8-1 in the first half.

I thought the mix and match was stopped for playoff games. Why would they put Morelli with Parry's crew?

I've been saying for a long time that the officials should be full time employees of the NFL. These Goobers are lawyers, insurance agents and such. The integrity of the game suffers when they make calls that affect the game they way they do. A perfect example is the pitiful Intentional grounding rule against Romo.

It was not IG. He got the ball past the line of scrimmage and he was in no danger of being sacked. That's it.

These guys need to be doing off season work if they are going to be ready for the real season. They need to focus on THIS job and not whether or not they are going to sell another insurance policy after the game.

Officiating in ALL sports has pretty much gone down the toilet. Aren't the NBA/MLB FULL time? Even with that, I've seen ALOT of horrible officiating in those sports as well(and no, it has nothing to do with the NBA ref and his gambling activities last year).

The '05 World Series b/w the White Sox and Astros is a good example-they made alot of calls(going in Chicago's favor) in the first 2 games that were VERY elementary to call. Ditto the WSox/Angels ALCS.

What you posted is true. but it's not he point. the point is the NFL sent a guy to Dallas for that playoff game, who had the Rep of giving the road team most of the calls. and most of the home teams losing when he works the game. the Question is WHY? i think we all know. so we can have a Farve or a Manning, in the super bowl. Gadell and his crew have been outed. they wanted Dallas to lose this game. that's why they sent that ref to Dallas. it's sickening.

Why a tin foil hat? Why not just accept the fact that it was intended?

Too many coincidences just to throw it in the category of "unintentionally" bad reffing.

You hit it right on the head man.they wanted Farve and Manning. they got it. that's why we ended up with these refs in Dallas. the freaking giants got every big call.UNREAL.

You guys sound like delusional Washington fans with all this ref *****ing. There were so many uncalled false starts against Dallas that it's almost comical to hear you guys complain.

I was one of those math guys (nerds :) ) that actually found inferential statistics interesting. Cowboyrock my man, you might wanna find you a nice tin foil top when you read this update from today.. ;)

Giants at Packers: Terry McAulay. (Well, Terry has a mixed crew but let's look at this as if it were Terry's regular season crew so we can draw on our statistics. Why look at the real crew when the only stats we have are for the regular season crew, right?) Tops for the home team winning rate at 75%.

Chargers at Patriots: Jeff Triplette. Tied for 5th out of 17 for best ref for the home team's winning rate (67%).
