I'm not especially upset at the outcome of las Sundays game because I kinda expected it. As lousy as the officiating was; however, I think the Boys' offense was so pathetic in the fourth quarter that they would have lost even if the refs had been on their side.

Crayton may be so thick skinned and thick skulled that he doesn't learn anything from this experience. This was not a cohesive team and they seemed to think all they had to do was show and collect and easy win and get back to their personal lives. As a team, they seemed to me to make only minimal effort.

I think most of the refs are fairly honest but I think there are some who skew the outcome of games for their own reasons. If you were a billionaire betting mogul and you saw an opportunity to affect the outcome of a game using a referee, would you be too honest to do it?

I quit betting on sporting events long ago. I also quit letting my feelings ride on the outcome of sporting events in which I am not a direct participant. I just enjoy watching the games these days and try not to care very much if my favorite teams lose regardless of the reasons, that's sports.

The only things I can control are my own feelings and reactions.

You don't have to stupid to be gullible or to be fooled. Unfortunately, can't say the same about some people who are both, like yourself.

You guys sound like delusional Washington fans with all this ref *****ing. There were so many uncalled false starts against Dallas that it's almost comical to hear you guys complain.

These same guys cry about the refs even when we win, they aren't delusional, they were just "I'm going to take my ball and go home" kids and haven't changed.

Why the mix-n-match ?

They stopped the all-star ref crews in 2003, but they won't let someone with little experience ref a playoff game. I believe its 3 years minimum for playoff games.

I've been saying for a long time that the officials should be full time employees of the NFL. These Goobers are lawyers, insurance agents and such. The integrity of the game suffers when they make calls that affect the game they way they do. A perfect example is the pitiful Intentional grounding rule against Romo.

It was not IG. He got the ball past the line of scrimmage and he was in no danger of being sacked. That's it.

These guys need to be doing off season work if they are going to be ready for the real season. They need to focus on THIS job and not whether or not they are going to sell another insurance policy after the game.

What exactly would they be doing 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, year round? They do plenty of off-season work already with mandatory meetings in crews, meetings with the NFL on rule changes and emphasis, meetings with other refs on their respective positions, and game analysis.

It wouldn't make any difference, people still make mistakes. Take a player for example, they get paid millions, work hard in practice, study film, work hard on their bodies, you think if they practiced more they wouldn't false start or fumble the football?
