Refs probably gave Atlanta the game with that call.

Hard to call a game objectively when the NFL wants both QB's to look good...

I thought Vick was going to revolutionize the NFL. He hasn't done much to impress me yet. Sure he has athletic ability but he tries to do too many things with his feet.

he has phenominal talent... but the way he throws his body around may very well lend to a shortened NFL career...

I think his career gets shortened as well. If he was Culpepper's size, maybe it wouldn't be a big deal, but he looks like a WR playing QB.

Let's face it--Vick & McNabb are "stars" in the NFL, especially Vick. Personally, I think he's overrated & will never be in a Super Bowl. Yes, I'd agree that with Vick & McNabb & maybe a couple of others, the refs know full well they have to give them the calls whenever possible. What I really get tired of is the bootlicking media coverage. They treat every move by Vick as though it's the psrting of the Red Sea.

giving them calls is one thing, but the crap that they allow their OL's to get away with is insane...then you factor in the coddling (honestly, DL's and LB's basically cant touch Vick, Manning or McNabb w/o garnering the 15yd flag) they get and its sickening...these guys are being made as much as they make themselves, it sux

Oh absolutely. I think the powers that be spend a little too much time worrying about who's popular on the Madden game, & then make sure their teams get as many breaks as possible in the games. Hey, why do you think they passed the rule restricting CBs so much this season? They need to make sure that the QBs & TO look as good as possible.

I didn't think that was a bad call on Emmons...well, let me restate that, I could see Emmons being penalized because he launched himself after the ball was gone and he did go up high...the call was something about hands to the face, which I really didn't see...


As far as Vick's performance....he is way too careless with the ball...heck he dropped it when he was simply running with it...

He also seems to have read a few too many of his own press clippings...ya know, makes too much of an effort to make a play out of everything....occasionally, the best play is to just take the sack...

And whats new...... A superstar Qb getting the Prima dona treatment from the referees. Superstar Qbs put butts in the seats . The NFL will ALWAYS protect the bottom line. It happens in Indy, in Philly, in Wisconsin, it's the norm in todays NFL.
