I know we almost traded JJ before the draft last year... wouldn't surprise me if that trade is reborn this year.

I was saying that I'd give JJ and our 1st for the chance to draft Adrian Peterson... but I don't think anyone would take that trade.

JJ does not seem to be willing to take chances now like he did *** a rookie- obviously BP's influence. Maybe JJ needs to be traded to some team that will let him play his way. MB looks like he will now be the man.

No matter how many times you spew that idiocy, it won't make it true.

JuJo just isn't as good as we all thought. Period.

No way we trade JJ because there's no way we'd recoup our 2nd round pick for him. He's a decent back, but I don't see anyone giving up a 2nd rounder for him.

I sure wouldn't....no way I'd use our first round pick on Peterson.

I'm hoping we use it on a WR, OL, or DB.

Is Parcells playing Mr. Sensitive again?

Is he delaying the ascent of MBIII because he does not want to mess with JJ's psyche?

I like JJ. I think he is underused. Having said that, I wonder if Parcells will at last make his shuffle and give both equal billing as to starts/touches.

Because Barber has earned it.

I don't think so...I just think that Jones doens't do too well against the Giants, but Barber bailed him out...Jones will be the featured back who will dominate from now on...mark my words..

I agree. I like Peterson, but he just gets hurt way too often to use a first rounder on him.

And he is a bit overrated.

I do think we need to draft another RB at some point.

I happen to believe that the two running backs compliment each other very well.
MB3's hard nosed running gives us a great change of pace and really throws a curveball at a defense that spends a series trying to catch JJ. On the other hand JJ's shiftiness gives opposing defenses fits when they've spent time playing the physical game against MB3. I think the success that they both are currently enjoying is directly attributed to the differences in the two running backs. We have the true thunder and lightning.

Sure, there are times during the game where I want to see MB3 in there simply because I enjoy a hard nosed running style. It excites me. However, I cannot discount the incredible options we have when we can switch up our offensive ground strategy at the drop of a dime. Thoughts?

I now feel that MB is the better back. I cant believe how bad JJ has fallen off. Its time that MB is the starter now. I feel JJ should just come in and spell him from time to time. We will have to live with a non home run gear, but really has JJ flashed that this year? nope. So anyways as a JJ backer I just feel that something is a miss with him and he just is not that good.

I still don't understand what happened to JJ. He showed such great vision, instincts, and moves during his rookie year. He flashed it again in the Panthers game.

Other than that he's just been a one-dimensional back that runs straight forward into the pile. It makes me sad.

Jones has to start the game vs a fresh D. and doesnt get the carries in a spread field which I think works best for him. Flip Barber and him and I think the results arent much different.

Regardless of JJ or MB, I'm happy we have both of them in there.

Don't fall in love too much with MB. He has a better yards per carry average, and is a beast in short yardage ... but then again, so did Troy Hambrick when he was Emmitt's backup.

Backups tend to rack up good averages because opposing teams don't game plan for them.

I'm happy with the current situation ... it's working.

Sadly, I agree.
It's Barber time.

It's just really, REALLY weird to me. I have no answers for it.

Anyone else??

He is just so flat. I really hope he picks it up or at least finds out what is wrong during the offseason. I think he still has the makings of a damn good back, but Barber has indeed been consistently better. And I don't think we can use the "worn down defense" excuse anymore.

He doesnt have any moves anymore. He couldnt make a 80 year old man miss. I dont know why it is, but its like he's trying to be the same RB Barber is...when he's completely different.

Not to mention he seems alot slower. He's not even a home run threat. He would get caught from behind no more than 20-30 yards downfield.

He's the king of the three-yard run. Run through a tackle? Forget about it. He's still part of a good duo, but he's not special.
