Reggie Nelson scores a 12 on Wonderlic Test

VY is most definitely "6" stupid

This is nothing against Romo, but I'd like to have "stupid" VY on the Cowboys, I guess I'm stupid enough to want his heroics on my team. Plus I'll be forever grateful to Vince for beating USC for the Longhorn nation. But I sure hope he never beats the Cows in a superbowl, I wouldn't like him much anymore. but I'd still be grateful as a Longhorns fan.

Yeah, there really shouldn't need to be a whole lot of prep to score higher then a 6. Hes definitely dumber then a box of hair. Good thing for him and all the other idiots that they don't have to score above a certain level to play. Thats how it should be. Anyone making 8-figures should damned well better be able to prove they could pass a High-School entrance exam cause thats pretty much what the Wondy is.

He's a great football player, which is exactly my point. Wonderlic scores mean next to nothing. Maybe if a pocket QB got a 6, I'd be worried, but not a running QB like Young.

That being said, I wouldnt take VY over Romo, or the majority of starting QBs in this league. No team has ever wona SB with a run-first QB.

High school? I could have gotton at least half those questions right back in 5th grade. It's a joke, namely because most of the guys who take it arent exactly Norman Einstein :laugh2:

Something was messed up with Young's first test. He ended up with a 16.

:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: Well, now that's so much better!

I wonder if Young had to study for his blood test?

But, really, he did pretty damn good from what I saw of him on the field...!

;)

Frank Gore scored a 6. John Henderson scored an 8.

What did Drew Henson score again? 45? He's going to be a great one.

They are important -- but some folks fail to understand that any measure isn't going to predict performance for every single player. Any measure is useful as it addresses a general trend. Not every great WR has an amazing 40 time either.

Nothing wrong with the test, everything wrong with how fans interpret it.

Misconception created by Longhorn fans to defend his idiocy

The man scored a 6, it is well documented

You look at him play and hes not out of position, reads routes well, doesnt bite on play fakes etc. Last year was only his second in Florida's system. Wonderlic, schmunderlick.

If nelson is there at 22 i take him unless someone like Willis, Brown, Revis, Lynch or Branch is there

Or my WR, Meachem right? ;)

I agree, football is a game of instincts and he obviously has great instincts.

Sorry Hos I just dont like the idea of WR in the first as was documented by a 600+ post thread. If we were to do something isanely stupid like draft Jarrett I would have to put a hit out on Ireland.

Sigh...

Back to the drawing board.

:) If it helps I like Meachem better than Bowe, Ginn, Jarrett, Rice etc. i just hate WR in the first round.

I WISH Nelson would be available @ 22 but he won't be. He's just too damned talented......
