Bishop looks to be a good pick, listed as a 6th rounder and clearly a guy that can get some reps at the 1 Tech next year.

STRENGTHS: Wide-bodied with a thick trunk and natural girth…can anchor and hold the point with his lower body base…takes on multiple blockers to create lanes for his defensive teammates at the LOS…quick, coordinated footwork with adequate quickness and reaction timing off the snap…has some range to work up and down the LOS…violent, active hands to fight through blocks and handle double-teams – aggressively shoots his hands and looks to bully…strong hands and wrists to secure tackles and make stops with his fingers – productive the past two seasons with 125 total tackles…consistent competitive temperament and plays with a can-do attitude – motivated with a good head on his shoulders.

WEAKNESSES: Shorter than ideal with tight hips and joints, not always playing with the flexibility needed…lacks ideal arm length and will allow blockers to engage off the snap and turn and twist him…only average play speed and foot agility, lacking much experience dropping in space…needs to improve his anticipation and instincts pre and post snap – eye use tends to run hot/cold and can be late to locate…below average pass rush arsenal with minimal sack production on his resume…will wear himself out due to his motor and is forced to take some plays off…lacks ideal experience against top-level competition, sending two seasons at the JUCO level and then two seasons in the MAC…minor durability concerns after missing much of pre-draft workouts due to a foot injury.
