Remember this game very vividly. Freshman in college and had 3 roommates and all of them were rooting for the Eagles that night and it was painful to sit thru this game but it was great to sit there watching the Super Bowl in the same room in the middle of the 3rd quarter when they all left because they knew the game was over and we were going to be champs.

If I recall. this was the year after Jerome Brown's passing. Speaking of Jerome Brown, would be nice if Mazi can turn into that type of player.

What your puny little hate filled mind does not grasp is that this was Aikmans 3rd year whereas your loverboy is in his 8th year starting
Dak Haters mental state before using "Puny" and "loverboy" in a Football conversation :lmao: :lmao:

Almost wish Prescott fails for your well being....NOT

Troy Aikman had an ALLPro RB and TE, 1 ProBowl WR and 2 ProBowl Olineman performance....but Troy threw 14 INTs....one fewer that Prescott 2022.....that's Huge..... as a married Man would say:lmao2::lmao:

We didn't lay an egg against a crap team like AZ before that 92 Eagles game either.

They both play DT. Brown lined up as a 0 tech, 1 tech and 3 tech. So does Mazi.
One is primarily a NT, the other was an interior pass rush specialist. Mazi is 40 lbs heavier than Jerome Brown was. That’s like saying you saw Luepke line up similarly to Deuce Vaughn, so you hope he plays similarly.

No player in nfl history over 330 lbs has ever been a pass rush threat, much less expected to pressure the QB at the level of an all-pro who weighed less than 300. When you put such unrealistic expectations on a player, he can’t be anything but a disappointment.

Mazi’s dream comp should be Vince Wilfork; Ted Washington; Pat Williams; Haloti Ngata. Alltime great, all-pro big men who impacted the run game and the pass game. But none even had a 6 sack season in 57 combine years in the NFL. Doing that doesn’t mean Mazi Isn’t pulling his weight, because he’s a completely different player at a completely different position.

Yes I remember.
yeah, i also remember that quarterback throwing bad passes and far more INTs at a higher rate than current era qbs..

it's almost comical in here the think that allegedly elite qb that when things going bad around him, he's making mental mistakes and throwing INts. this is a team game...its not just the qb might be the OL, game plan , play calling.. execution

by the way how can a jimmy johnson coach team have this kind of production?? they don't look prepared they look shocked, out of sorts, unprepared, making mistakes why didn't they bench Aikman??

To be fair, that Eagles defense from Buddy Ryan to Bud Carson made a lot of QB's look like that. The 85 Bears and 2000 Ravens may have had a single better year, but the 4-5 year sustained beast of a D they had in Philly might be unmatched for a 4-5 year time period. If that team had any semblance of an offensive line, they probably have a SB or two under Ryan. I never understood how or why Ryan just put out mediocre JAG's for the most part on their o-line. The o-line we have today blows away anything the Eagles had under Ryan.

Yup both teams were undefeated and the Eagles pounded the Cowboys in that game but guess what the Cowboys rebounded in a big way and went on the win the Superbowl so hopefully lightning will strike twice!
I remember the second game. Troy was just average but Emmitt ran for 160 or something and carried the day.

Apparently you missed the point this wasn't the only game Troy Aikman was one of the worst touchdown interception ratios out of all our quarterbacks that's a fact.. We wanna complain about the mistakes by our quarterbacks since aikman especially the current one and the one before him I won't mention their names..

And yet all quarterbacks make these mistakes Josh Allen turns the ball over on a regular basis... We sat and watched Matthew Stafford win a Super Bowl in a year where he had 20 interceptions and yet had two in the zero it somehow they won the game and yet when we don't win the game as against the 49ers with two interceptions from our quarterback we blame the quarterback when really the team made enough mistakes on a whole to lose that game just like the two games this year on the whole team but who are we talking about the most??

That's the point you're missing our team isn't good enough to beat those better teams because they just aren't good enough it has nothing to do with the interceptions those happen late in the game in both the games we lost the game was already decided I'd be frustrated and start chucking the ball up to wherever it lands hoping something happened like a bunch of hail Marys because the game was already decided that's a fact.. The receivers were not getting open there was no run game the offensive line wasn't holding up long enough the defense sucked we had injuries all over the place yet who we keep talking about?? He was supposed to make that miraculous comeback against that defense and that team I mean you act like that team doesn't have a defense similar to buddy Ryan's even though it's a different defense you're telling me that the 49ers and the Eagles and some of the other teams we play don't have really good defenses??
