You can huff & bluster & deny all you want, but ANY success this team has will be 100% because of Bill Parcells & the team he built. This future team will no more be a Wade Phillips success than the Bucs were a Jon Gruden success. That was Dungy's team & everyone knew it. Same here. It's Parcells' team & they'll be his wins. Jerruh should be happy tho--he's now back in charge. Ireland will soon be out the door & Lacewell back in place. TO will undoubtadly be telling Garrett which plays to call. I'm loving it & will be enjoying every loss this coming season. Hey--maybe Wade's stripper daughter will perform at halftime during a game. (Ironically, I posted about that here a couple of years ago when there was a tv show that featured her.)

Actually, there will be a very strong argument that Phillips (if he does succeed) deserves the credit. Yeah, it would be with Parcells's players, but Phillips's scheme is quite different. He may be able to get something out of the players that Parcells couldn't.

I decided to open this thread back up...

Kitty is a very intelligent woman, but she is not Cowboy fan. Hostile pointed this out earlier. She is Tuna fan through and through. Her last two posts have been filled with Cowboy hatred. She has challenged our intellect, our loyalty and our perseverance...

I was not the mod that banished her to obscurity, but I certainly support that move.

Against my better judgment, I felt she deserved grief from our membership as she got personal with our fan base... I am giving you guys a chance to retaliate... BREIFLY...

Well, the first post was weird, but I think I understand some of the motive. The original poster is a Parcells fan, and I am too.

I think Parcells deserves a ton of credit. I've been embarassed at the way that some of the fans and media have treated Bill. Their venom has been unfounded. The truth is, Bill likely saved this team from becoming the Oakland Raiders. I know his ways didn't sit well with everyone, and the results weren't as good as many wanted (Bill included), but the good he did far outweighs any of the bad. I really can't understand the illogical hatred that some people had for him. I just don't get it.

If and when this team wins, I believe that Bill should be given a lot of credit though.

At the same time, Bill did decide to leave the Cowboys. He did that on his own terms, and I wish him all the best, and I think this franchise is fortunate to have had him the last few years.

I do believe that Wade Phillips can do some good things with this team. I think a new voice and a new philosophy is going to be a great help to this team. That doesn't make Bill any less of a coach, although I do feel like Wade is someone who has consistently been overlooked as one of the very good coaching minds.

It is apparent that he left with no ill will towards the franchise so you doing it is pretty irrational.

Somebody has to be the bigger person here......but it sure as hell won't be me.

I can't say that I'll miss you kitty litter. But don't worry. I'm sure Parcells will come back to coaching (again) in another 2 or 3 years, at which point you can start calling yourself a fan of whatever team he "leads." That is until he quits on them as well. Then you'll get a completely new chance to attack that team's owner, organization, and fanbase in one awesome swoop. You will then be banned from whatever message board you decided to contribute to at the time. Think of it as the circle of life for a forum troll and you're right smack dab in the middle of it kitten.

That's a crock....Bill Parcells did nothing special from what I've seen. He screwed up the draft again and again at key spots....he was here only 4 seasons, yet quite a few of his draftees, even first day draftees, are no longer with the team...that is actually a rare thing he accomplished right there.

This special team he built finished no better than 9-7 in a weak NFC the past 3 years, so he must really suck as a coach by your thinking because his only 10-6 team and his only other playoff appearance was with a team that was 100% built by Dave Campo??? Something isn't right with the logic there.

If Wade Phillips comes in and has a great year, a better year than Parcells had last year, it will actually be a clear sign that Parcells was indeed over the hill and had no business actually coaching our team, especially if he wins with essentially the same players as you say.

If Phillips wins big 2,3,4 years from now, why would Parcells get any more credit for that than Campo got for the team Parcells built? Phillips will add to the decent players already here. Frankly, I think Parcells was very weak on both the sideline and the office...his drafts were attrocious until JJ hired a legit scouting man to run that side of things.

I'll always be happy fatboy is gone, and I'll personally try to forget his 4 years.

I have to admit that he will get into the HOF for his achievements with the Giants, but there's no way anything he's done since then would be HOF worthy without the SB's won in NY. Certainly, his time in Dallas did NOT add to his legacy.
