I have yet to hear anyone claim Murray is the next Emmitt Smith.

He had a big game in his 1st ever start in the NFL I doubt anyone would have predicted he would break the franchise single game rushing record in his 1st start. Fans are excited they should be

I think it's a rebuke to those posters who said the draft pick was now validated (too early to tell), or that Murray should take over for Felix as the feature back.
"Overreacting" is not limited to posts following defeats.

To me a lot of this goes back to draft day. Some people did not like the pick and will continue to rag on the Cowboys for getting Murray and now down playing a franchise recording setting game. It seems to be more about they want to be right than to support their own team

People already want to trade Felix. A guy can't have a good game, without the guy ahead of him getting put on the block.
