It would'nt matter who Dallas got, Lewis or Brookings BOTH would have made a difference.

Felix (NOT FELIX JONES) you need to EAT YOUR CROW about Brookings. :laugh2:

Silly. For all we know, Lewis could have been just as good or better. That said, Brooking was a nice consolation prize.

He wasn't a consolation prize. Lewis was never on our radar.

Well call me crazy but if we had made a move for Ray Lewis I wouldn't have been upset either lol. They offer about the same thing to this team. Both good against the run. Both are solid locker room guys. You can't lose with either.

Well we GOT our Ray Lewis, and his name is Keith Brooking. He is the HEART and SOUL of our team and we're so lucky to have him. Go Cowboys!!!

I was going to start a thread on Brooking.

As far as I'm concerned he is as much of a MVP for this team as is Ware or Romo.

INSPIRATIONAL LEADER !!!!!!!!!!

No need to crap on suga Ray. If all things were equal, I would have gladly picked Ray at the time. However, the cost that Ray was commanding was criminal and Brooking has been the final piece to the D, that is for certain. There is no telling how Ray would have gelled here. Both are firey leaders and that turns out was the final ingredient to Wade's masterpiece.

No one's dissing Lewis , just praising Brooking.

Couldn't lose with either way, but lets appreciate what we have.

Ray would be more of a fit at the position Bradie James plays in Wade's defense.

How do you know he's a good person? He's your homeboy? Self defense makes you a thug now? I see

Stilltheguru's formula for admiring players:

arrests + misdemeanors + time served - acquitals= STG hero factor

higher the number, bigger the hero
