Remember when Will McClay wasn't involved in our draft picks. Crazy huh?
Remember when Micheal Irvin stabbed a teammate with scissors over a haircut? That was crazy, huh?

Ha! Vaguely....Remember when we had a head coach?
AmenRemember when Dak led us to 4 Superbowls titles in a row. Oh, my bad, Im currently visiting 2022.
Didn't he break it a second time jogging in sand?Remrmber that time Mike Sherrard kicked the back of his own leg running in training camp and pretty much ended his career? That was bad.
Remember though, that's it's certainly not due to McClay arriving on the scene at that time...some like to believe that after 20+ years of fail that the improved drafts are due to Jerry finally "getting it".Remember when Dallas couldn't draft worth a **** and wasn't the best drafting team in the league?
Always wondered what happened to that guy. He was NORS level at some points.
After these messages..................We'll be right back!
ABC?
No, it's not Jerry. It is McClay, Stephen, and Garrett.Remember though, that's it's certainly not due to McClay arriving on the scene at that time...some like to believe that after 20+ years of fail that the improved drafts are due to Jerry finally "getting it".
Good point. Romo2 Austin was/is actually a decent dude. He was just young and was quick to spar with people that knew ten times more about the game than he did. He's a Cowboy fan at heart and that's all that really matters, TBH.The fact that Nors is still infamous more than 10 years (I'm estimating) after he was last seen in these parts suggests that he occupied a level all his own. But yeah, it's good to find out what became of Romo2Austin
Actually if you get technical, the recent draft successes are a direct result of Jerry "getting it". He, rather through coercion or self analysis, realized that there are people that are better at talent evaluation and acquisition. He was smart enough to set his ego aside and let those particular people do their jobs (you know, like real GM). If people want to saddle Jerry with all the failures (which absolutely has merit), at least have the balls to give him credit when things start moving in the right direction, regardless of his level of involvement, because at the end of the day, whether you like it or you don't, Jerry (to this day) makes the final call.Remember though, that's it's certainly not due to McClay arriving on the scene at that time...some like to believe that after 20+ years of fail that the improved drafts are due to Jerry finally "getting it".
Too me. Ole Jerry boy, the businessman, realised his bluff was finally going to cost him financially , similiar to his hiring of the Tuna. So, he had to make changes and at the same time save face and protect his miserable ego. He has been forced to accept a lesser role and allow real football people to finally make the decisions. Its not to his credit...it was a business decision he has been forced to make.Actually if you get technical, the recent draft successes are a direct result of Jerry "getting it". If people don't have the intellectual honesty to admit that, then they are just being a douchebag for the sake of being a douchebag. (for the record, that comment is not attributed directly at you, cowboy_ron)
