Too me. Ole Jerry boy, the businessman, realised his bluff was finally going to cost him financially , similiar to his hiring of the Tuna. So, he had to make changes and at the same time save face and protect his miserable ego. He has been forced to accept a lesser role and allow real football people to finally make the decisions. Its not to his credit...it was a business decision he has been forced to make.
Nope. Business has been good for Jerry regardless of record for his entire tenure as owner. Other than his first couple of years owning the team, Jerry has never experienced a significant revenue drop. In fact, he's increased his revenue and the value of the franchise every year since he's owned the team. That includes the triple 5-11 Campo years and everything after.

He has straight out said that Hiring Bill Parcells had as much to do with football as it did with getting support for the new stadium and the support he needed wasn't really even financial. He needed the go ahead to purchase the surrounding land.

The narrative that Jerry stepped aside football-wise because he thought he would lose money is a sweet story for anyone that would hope it to be true but, it's rooted entirely in fantasy. The one thing that Jerry Jones or anyone else who ever owns the Cowboys, for that matter, will never have to worry about is losing money.

Swing and a miss.
