Actually, it did happen .. twice. I don't remember the games, but after the games, the Fan Zone was slammed with new threads so we (BP mainly) created a lot of mega-merged threads for fans to complain about a variety of players, coaches and the owner, and I went through the software code behind the site and wrote in a hack to disable new thread creation in this forum.

I still have the code hack I hope I never have reason to use it again!

We'd channel postgame frustration for a few hours into a handful of threads, and then open things up again as a favor to the staff so we weren't deleting and merging 100 different threads in 15 different forums.

This is a nice change from that.
