This is awesome. I've seen the compressed 1.5 hour version many times on NFLN, but the full broadcast with every play and all the commentary is so much better.

I have a feeling Alvin Harper is gonna be big at the end of this game. Just a hunch.

Fun fact: of Dallas' 5 NFC Championship wins that were followed Super Bowl wins, this was the only one that did not take place in Texas Stadium.

(1971- 49ers

1977- Vikings

1993- 49ers

1995- Packers)

Nope. :eek::

I was in college then... Not even sure I had a VCR.

I remember watching this game at a friend's house. And Harper catching that slant like it was yesterday.

I know this is heresy to some, but Pat Summerall is an awful announcer.

His lack of coherence and energy is remarkable.

That call on Harper's catch was the lowest-energy call on a huge play that I've ever heard.

that is the only correct part of this statement...........lowest energy? lowest?
have you ever heard Gumble call a game?

John and Pat are the best broadcast team ever...........

I hope Young remembers how he was a turn over machine in this game the next time he criticizes Romo or any other QB.

OK, Gumble is bottom-of-the-barrel bad... but you can't have just watched that game and still tell me that Summerall does a good job announcing it.

I never get tired of watching those baby faces. Man we were so young.

Also I knew before that game was over we were going to win the super bowl.

Good times! :D

I can never watch this game enough, especially the 2nd half. We had just one or two bad offensive plays the entire second half.

Great team, great talent, great depth, great coaching staff.

That team would beat our current Dallas team by 4 or 5 tds without breaking a sweat.

Just watched the game again today (after watching it last night-never gets old).

I never noticed the rainbow that came out toward the end of the game that was on the Dallas' bench side. Evidence for the God's team claims?

I somehow never realized until last night that Joe Montana was still with the Niners and could have played.

Lastly, how can you not get fired up with Jimmy as coach? He persona is so much more inspiring than Wade and every other coach we've had except Parcells. Who knows if this even matters, but I'm definately more motivated by the Jimmy types of the world. Wade just drives me nuts, he is literally the anti-Jimmy.

Damn the Jimmy years were the most fun I've ever had as a Cowboy fan.
