I’m sure there’s a meme out there somewhere depicting AT&T’s architects wherein they realize they started building the stadium-windows facing the sunset and they tell one another:
“Think it’ll be a problem?”
“Eh. Maybe.”

“To prevent the Sun's glare from interfering with any players' eyesight, the vast majority of football fields are oriented north-south instead of east-west. However, AT&T Stadium was built with the field oriented east-west and with large windows on the western side. During afternoon games, this design allows sunlight to come into the stadium at an angle that can interfere with players' vision; some players have complained about this problem.”

The architecture is actually long in development and a good number of approaches utilized in stadium design and actually quite a bit of advanced principals involved. Most stadiums have home field variations that grow into hometeam advantages...maybe that requires players smart enough to take advantage of which as well?

Well it clearly hasn’t grown into that for us…
