For the love of God JJ and idiots, please get some curtains on late games. My observation is that the sun has hurt us more than the other teams. Just stating the obvious here. (Clueless in Dallas) Yikes!!!
Yes, I've been wanting them to get curtains or blinds for a while now.

“To prevent the Sun's glare from interfering with any players' eyesight, the vast majority of football fields are oriented north-south instead of east-west. However, AT&T Stadium was built with the field oriented east-west and with large windows on the western side. During afternoon games, this design allows sunlight to come into the stadium at an angle that can interfere with players' vision; some players have complained about this problem.”

SMH.
With the area and current roads, there was only one way to orient the stadium. It may have been angled a little more than what it is. But probably not by much. Then you get into other problems. Such as game day traffic flow. Not sure if you been to the stadium or that area To see the issues.
Also the city of Arlington probably had more to do with it, and not Jerry. As part of that being zoning and traffic flow.

I am sure Jerry did not say, no, this is how I want it to be.

They have them, they just don’t use them for football games.
I think the main reason is so the end zone SRO fans can’t walk in and out if they want to. If they still can, not sure. I think they used to be able to because of the outdoor area they could get beers. But they can work around that as well.

Maybe JJ thinks he can command the sun to shine only when the other team has the sun in their eyes.

But seriously, maybe it is the same for both teams, but why let it have any effect on the game? Jerry is stubborn about stuff like this.

future sign at Dallas-Ft. Worth International:
See contemporary art at the Dallas Cowboys Art Collection (and don't miss the NFL football stadium in the lobby)

Is there any evidence the opposing team has ever dropped a ball because the sun was in their eyes? I don't remember a single example. But it sure as hell affects our receivers almost every time the sun shines through those windows.
It killed a drive two years ago in the Div round vs 49ers cause our receiver couldn’t see the ball. It would have been another first down in enemy territory possibly ending in a FG which would have made a difference but Jerry cares more about stadium ascetics than winning playoff games.

It's not the late games; it's the 3:15/3:25 games.

During the Garrett-era, I remember the Giants head coach said they designed plays around where the light hits the field. Meanwhile, we have Dez Bryant getting blinded in the sunlight.

Unless the renovation makes it look EXACTLY like Texas Stadium, I'll never be stepping foot in it!!!

In all seriousness, he can totally replace the glass with photochromic glass like the glasses that turn into sunglasses in the sun. In theory, it would only turn dark at those afternoon games.

It’s interesting that for other afternoon football games played in AT&T, curtains are used. I’ve seen two Big 12 games there where they were used and at least 3 HS games there where they were used. Curtains ARE available but Jerry prefers the “aesthetic“ of streaming sunlight.
