Yes, I know we are playing like crap. That being said, this has reached the point of absurdity. I said the replacement refs wouldn't be that big deal, and I was so very wrong.

Twice today in two seperate games they have allowed challenges that violate the challenge rules. A clear recovery requires a recovery within the confines of the play. If you arent making a football play for the ball before the whistle blows, it is not challengable. In our game, Tampa recovered Romo's fumble a good 1-2 seconds after the whistle had blown and everyone else had stopped, that is not within the confines of the play.

Romo and RGIII have both been crushed in clear helmet to helmet blows and neither were called.

They are allowing handchecking all the way down the field on every snap.

That's just to name a few. Pay the real guys.

Someone needs to tell the players to go on strike for player safety. The NFL has thrown player safety into the trash right now. There is no player safety. If Ogletree hurt himself when he slipped on the refs hat I think players might have actually stopped playing.

Because the New York Giants own the NFL, and the Commissioner. So, the replacement refs are doing just fine as long as the Cowboys, and apparently the Skins as well, get the short end of any question.

As bad as some of these calls have been or not made.....I don't blame the refs at all, keep in mind these are not even college refs. They have very limited skills and abilities and are being asked by the NFL to ref pro football games. It is the NFL's fault.

Imagine bringing in a high school player or juco player to come into the NFL and play at a professional level. NO freaking way. They are doing their best which is not great and actually not even good and work with others who are in the same boat. You are asking for problems, which is what you got.
Blame the NFL front office and the NFL ref union for not coming to an agreement and putting players careers in jeopardy. Unfortunately, the NFL players union cannot do anything about it since they have to respect the right for the other union to strike. Ironic isn't it???

That spot call that gave TB the first down. He was a good yard behind the line when his knee touched. I can't believe Garrett didnt challenge it either. Spencer clearly was pleading his case.

I realize that there are threads on each individual topics that I am about to bring up but the source is all the same: the replacement referees.

Illegal contact and holding are never called. There was a catch by Dez a couple of plays before the first of Romo's fumbles where Talib hit Dez and continued to hit Dez all the way up to and through catching the ball.

I sat there and commented that at some point the ball had to be in the air. I also realize that we were the beneficiary on the goal line with Scandrick against the Giants but at the end of the day, the rules are the rules are the rules and these refs clearly have no idea how to call them.

The ref throwing the hat in the field of play was just dumb.

Roughing the kicker? Sure why not let the coverage guy dive into our punter's leg? Sure that isn't a rule in every friggin league in the country.

Blows to the head just not being called. This is the one that really gets me. This is two weeks in a row where one of our best players, Romo and Lee, have taken blatant shots to the head. In one they added insult to injury by calling a 15 yarder on a questionable tap as the QB was stepping out of bounds but both were clear as day.

The refs are not only effecting the games but moreso they are going to get people hurt. Their job is to protect the players and call the game. These guys are doing neither well.

If you feel the same as I do. There is where you can tell them how you feel. I have. Hopefully it doesn't take one of our guys being knocked out for the year or worse for people to pull their head out.

This^^^^I jumped up and said YES!!!then the spot. I didnt need to rewind but did and confirmed he was 1 1/2 yards short. Didnt end up hurting us but may at some point.

The Broncos and Rams both think they have changed the outcome of games.

This is leaving them more wide open to liability concerning the concussion suit.

The NFL labor negotiators play brinksmanship. That is how they roll.

well at least you figured out the actual rule on the fumble instead of just screaming you can't recover it after the whistle.

The crazy thing about the hand checking is some defenses haven't figured it out yet. Rob Ryan was all over this from the first quarter of the Giants game.

So they allow a challenged that violates the rules, but Garrett stands there doing nothing? Shouldn't he be screaming his head off protesting or something? Aren't there regular replay officials in the booth?

I never thought it would get this bad because the original bunch makes calls that look no better.

However, they make them so less frequently that it's almost disturbing.

These guys barely know the rules......how does anyone take college ball seriously with these guys as the regulars?

How many officials are there, 7?

16 squads on average, lets be really conservative and say 5 backup squads.

21 squads.

147 officials.

You could pay them all 1M and you'd still only reach a total less than the top two contracts in the NFL for players.

I'm sick of it.

Every week you see something that's just embarrassing.

I don't mind the handchecking to be honest. I wish the NFL would do away with the Illegal Contact rule and let people play football.

But the other stuff is just brutal.
