It is for Jerry if he is attempting to sign Coaches on a performance based deal, when the number factor holding back Coaches in Dallas is the GM.

I’m thinking, Jerry can’t hire a head coach. No one wants to come here. Lol. I know what I would be looking for in a head coach, the problem is I think I know what Jerry wants also.

I don't think Jerry could get anyone we want because of the way he micromanages.

Belichick would still be my choice because I think he's the only one who can get his way with Jerry (like Parcells did). I think that's the only chance we stand at getting to an NFC Championship Game any time in the near future, a Hall of Fame coach the Joneses respect enough to listen to. Not that I think Belichick is a great personnel man, but rather that I know the Joneses are failed ones.

I don't understand what triggered Belicek to go to UNC if he wanted to be in the NFL. He had to know he would of gotten a job this time around.

Well nick Saban is out there and didn't say he retired from Bama because he was tired of coaching. It was NIL and xfer portal that ran him off. Saban is your out of box hire.

IMO, David shaw might be a nice addition to the coach search for an interview. Everyone mention Freeman at ND but Saw seems very similar.

Yeah it really surprised me. I guess he figured he didn't want to be left out another year.

And that decision cost him the Cowboys job and a chance to become the all time winningest coach.

He wanted to coach and wasn't getting any feelers, even from teams that were struggling. I don't think he could stand missing out on a coaching job while waiting for another one.

He was paying $8 million a year for McCarthy, and that contract was signed five years ago.

The Cowboys are cheap, but not as cheap as some want to paint it.
