I think he'll make a decent comeback for atleast a few years. His concussion lingered but that doesn't mean it was chronic. He'd be served well to land in the AFC with a real QB.

had he been able to stay healthy throughout his career, I can't imagine how dangerous he would have been.

All the talk on SportsCenter and NFL Network is retirement.

Concussion, knee, ankle, over 30, wants to much money........it all adds up.

Not surprising. RB's with concussions are problematic.

That's what I was thinking lol

Well, it's not out of the question.

McCoy will be the workhorse while LT can assume the role of backup. He'd get significant number of carries and not be just a third down back.

Also, he'd be going to a playoff contender which is probably top priority at this stage in his career.

LT to the Eagles kinda makes a lot of sense if you think about it.

I hope they do it. 30 year old RBs are nothing but progress stoppers regardless of how big of the name.

I wonder how this will sit in the Eagles locker room?, Dawkins last year and now Westbrook.

Standard practice for the Eagles.

Save owner money - cut players....

They have a backup that ran well with power behind McCoy, IMhumbleO that's why they have the confidence to make this move early.

Unless he takes a much smaller salary he'll get signed by no one but I could see, very easily, the Colts or Patriots picking him up for the right price.

I mean would it suprise anyone, at all, if the Pats picked him up for the right price? They love to use vets and he'd give Brady another potential weapon out of the backfield if he can stay healthy.

LT to the Eagles?

Probably not, but it had to be said. :)

I guess it could happen but why? LT and Westbrook are both 30 year old RB's with the exception that Westy has less wear and tear save for the head injuries of course. At this stage in LT's career they are both kind of the same guy more of a lateral move if you ask me.

His concussion symptoms lingered for weeks and weeks.

He and LaDanian should both hang 'em up.

Unless your name is Emmitt Smith or Ottis Anderson (and maybe a handful of others), this is a young running back's league.

Yep. Curtis Martin and Marcus Allen come to mind also.
