I bet they also want way too much for him. I expect they are looking to recoup the 1st they blew.

Hes worth a calculated risk though, but the asking price is probably stupid.

That says Washington not only didn’t pick up that 5th year option, they don’t even want a Year 4!
I think he has turned Rivera off to no end. It all started the off-season following his rookie year ( he dominated ) when he skipped all voluntary OTAs with the team to work out on his own AND work on his brand. That fact he was injured the following season.......I don't think ever got out of Riveria dog house. Word is, Riveria was livid after the comments below.

Not sure why, though. They'd save no cap space on this the last year of his rookie deal, and his salary is only $5 million this season.

But they won't get anything when he walks after the season so maybe they're trying to score a conditional draft pick?

Yeah, but maybe the relationship there has soured to the point where they and Young just want to go separate ways.

Yea they really have no reason to cut him right now.

They'll get a conditoinal anyway if he walks after this year.
