Are you suggesting that they cut Romo?
Do you think right now, Dak is better than Tony?
In practice before the compression fracture, Romo looked a bit quicker and certainly stronger than he had in years....after finally having a full off season to get stronger and heal.
What's insane about using your best player?

I could see week six right before the bye to see what he has and then go into the bye.

Do you think they don't like Dak's prospects long term?
If they do,then a plan is in place.
If not, then yes, they better take more action in the offseason.

If Dak holds down the fort well in these next 6 games, he really can control his long term destiny.
That'd be great news for everyone involved.
Plan in place :star::starspin::star:

I still think Best Case Scenario is we are 4-3 when Romo comes back healthy Week 9 and leads us deep into the Playoffs........Dak gets valuable experience but doesn't have to hit the rookie wall and play 20+ games.....Romo is still the much better QB and we need him

11 week injury? He would be on IR right now if that were the case.

Thats about the same time we get back our suspended players for the most part.

Right around the bye looks interesting.

Of course..

to me if we are 2-5 when Romo is ready I say forget it..

Play for a top 2 draft pick and lets draft defense.

If we could combine this draft with its offensive improvemeny and get Smith back from IR and draft high defensively..

we might have enough to compete by 2018.

I agree, if we're 2-5 or 1-6 and depending on what the rest of the division is doing, I would be happier to shelve Romo this year and have him be completely healthy starting next year. The last thing I want is for us is to be 1-6 with almost no chance of the playoffs and Romo comes in and suffers another injury. Even with a healthy Romo for 16 games we would have trouble making the playoffs with that horrible defense. No point in risking Romo for next year when we can improve the defense and have a better overall team for next season.

If we start off 0-3 he will be back week 4. Book it.
If we start off 0-3 we have more problems than Tony being the starting QB. Remember Tony has not played at a high level in quite some time. Before his injury last year he was less than par, if you need an example think of the San Franciso game to start the season in 2014.

WOW McNutty. First I was clearly stating that Jerry and Tony himself would rush him back just as they always do because they think they would have a shot at saving the season. Second, you make absolutely 0 sense with saying that Tony has not played at a high level and you date back all the way to the season opener in 14. He had a great 2014 and looked amazing so I am not even sure why I am still responding........

I think 0-3 and he is back by October sometime.

Yup. I don't see how he could keep sitting if the season is on the brink of being lost. Both he and the team will push for him to return.

What they're probably hoping is that Dak can keep us around .500 so that Tony can sit til after the BYE and we'll still be in the thick of it.
