No amount of WR talent will make Dak better than he is at year 8. All I want to hear is how we are loading up the defense. That is where we should really be all in. What will I get instead? An entire off-season of Jerry winking over OBJ, and eventually OBJ signing elsewhere. News coverage, check; status quo, check.

They should absolutely look at any decent free agent wr available. I don't know that i'm giving OBJ 10 plus a year, probably 6 base plus incentives.

What blows is that this is a weak year for FA WRs and there are only a few truly slam-dunk WRs in the draft - that will likely be long gone by the time we pick, so we are going to have to pay big-time to add a difference-making #2.

The worst part of all this, is that we had a difference-making #2/#1 WR - and we gave him away for a 5th!!! Ugh. I wish there was another Jerry in the league so our Jerry could take advantage of him.
There was better prospects last year up to the 7th round. However, Cowboys used it a 3rd rounder on a receiver from a small school with 4.5. Other than Oline, Jerry has no clue on how to pick the right players for our team.

If Jerry signs OBJ he really needs to be placed in a psyche ward. I can't even believe that OBJ to the Cowboys is still a taking point.

Overpaying for an old, oft-injured player that once had a name but is now past their prime?

This move feels IMMINENT lol

Looks like Jerry is going to have competition for his service. Please know, he's following the money regardless of what he says.

FYI......Spotrac puts his market value at $13.1M. Interesting coz at one point last season, it was in the $5-6M range. If the $13M is correct........I'm out. Besides, I was strongly leaning toward Mike Evans anyway. Just think with Mike, you are not getting just a WRs, but a player.

Giants Likely To Resume Odell Beckham Jr. Pursuit, Eye First-Round WR Pick

February 26th, 2023 at 9:39am CST by Sam Robinson

Assuming Beckham has used the past few months to move closer to 100%, or around 80% of the version he was prior to his second ACL tear, Hughes expects the Giants to be in the mix until the end for a reunion. Beckham, 30, has expressed steady interest in his former team, as tweets during last season’s surprise playoff journey most recently showed, but he may not have the same interest if the Giants move on from both Sterling Shepard and Saquon Barkley. The two skill-position holdovers from Beckham’s Giants stay are free agency-bound, though the team has shown steady interest in keeping Barkley — so long as such a pursuit does not involve letting Daniel Jones walk.

The Cowboys and Rams are also expected to revisit a Beckham push. Considering this year’s underwhelming market, it will be interesting to see where teams will go to add OBJ. The eight-year veteran was last seen playing a major role in the Rams’ Super Bowl LVI win, but his second ACL tear crushed his 2022 market. He will join the likes of JuJu Smith-Schuster, Jakobi Meyers, Allen Lazard, DJ Chark and others on this year’s

@GiantsVidal1027: What’s the Giants’ current interest in Odell Beckham since they have a head start on most teams due to the visit they had?

HUGHES: It was smart for the Giants to do what they tried to do with Beckham. They had no real belief he’d play in 2022. The thought was that they could give him some guaranteed money now, then have him rehab and train with their medical staff, to return in 2023. Beckham basically wanted to be paid like he’s already 100 percent and will be the player he was pre-injury.

I think you’ll see the Giants explore that one again this offseason. Beckham should be able to work out for teams by March. If he shows he’s even 80 percent of the player he was he’ll have much more than the Giants, Cowboys and Bills interested in signing him. I’d expect the Giants to be in that one until the end. Granted, Beckham’s interest in returning to New York might be a bit more lukewarm if the Giants let Barkley and Sterling Shepard, his two close friends, walk.
I would easily trade Gallup and give him Gallup money

This right here tells you it's not about actually winning for Jerry but rather the headlines. OBJ is no longer what he was and more than anything he is full of drama.
Wrong.

He was terrific in the 2021 season playoffs including the Super Bowl.

The knee that blew out had a partially torn ligament going back to before 2021. The knee is stronger after surgery.

I think they are good at WR with Lamb, Gallup, Brown, Tolbert and the TEs. To improve the offense id like to see them invest in the OL and draft a couple new RBs. Go back to running the ball and playing defense. Dak still has plenty of weapons.
Those wr ain’t it. Need another play maker.

Wouldn't pay 13 million to a player that questioned playing in the regular season, is likely in decline, and is a head case.

Brown is a free agent and Tolbert can't be counted on whatsoever

Yeah, its all about selling jersey's and trying to fool some of naive fan base into thinking he is making a splash signing.

This is fantasy. Many thought Tolbert would go in the 2nd round. And some list him at 4.49 or 4.50 but others like ourlads has him at 4.44

Even if he’s what he used to be, the injury risk isn’t worth it, nor do we have the QB that can make it work consistently.
