Mike Neal is another guy that is 28 and has position flex and should come cheap. Looks a lot like this Schofield guy.

I keep saying it but how has this guy not been signed by anybody!!!! He is a good youngish player

Came from the SEA/ATL system, which would make him a good fit here. I like bringing in guys where you can project fairly easily what they give you in your defense. This one makes sense.

Was he with the Jags coach when he was in Seattle? If so, they may have the upper hand in not only familiarity but money.

I guess the idea is to keep killing it with bodies. Schofield might not be too bad, rather have him than a Mr. Mince return.

Seems like the only smart option left. Acquire a bunch of bodies, see what sifts out in camp and hopefully what's left can produce a decent pass rush.

Good question. Quinn and Bradley overlapped, but I think Schofield only came in after Bradley had left. Same idea, though. Good point.

Okay, I just did some research on this guy and I have no idea why the Cowboys would want him except for maybe Special teams. He isn't beating anyone out.

There was lots of bodies thrown at the QB and RB position last year. I know it was on offense, but it didn't work.

If I'm rolling the dice on a reclamation project and another 'body', give me former Colts bust Bjoern Werner. Still young and I believe miscast since Indianapolis drafted him.

It's actually kind of baffling that they haven't kicked the tires on him. Seems like the exact type of guy they would try to get cheap production out of.

What does that tell you about how bad our defense looks on paper right now?

I am really surprised they didn't sign Jones. He seems like a good fit considering the DE situation. This team needs someone dependable to hold up at SDE. I don't think we need another tweener sized guy at DE like this Scofield.
