Report: Cowboys Trying To trade Trevon Diggs, Could cut The CB

Freaking hell. Diggs and Parsons, their two biggest players on defense the last few years, and they don't want them anymore. What a cluster frick.
So what you're saying is you're gullible and you believe rumors because right now the Trayvon diggs absolutely unsubstantiated by anybody who is anybody so this is just a story to get people to talk about it's called clickbait when you find things on the Internet that even says rumors in the title of the video you overlooked that and seem triggered by rumor but they already are in contract talks with OSA Lewis and yes there was a report that general conversations have started for long term contract with Michael Parsons isn't that odd because he's under contract this year that somehow you say they don't want him he's this year no matter what the dudes playing this year just like we told y'all to calm down with the whole they don't want CD lamb it didn't go fast enough for fans so they thought he was gonna get traded or that he was gone and he wasn't all these things are to make ratings and clicks in the Internet world because all they gotta do is mention something about the Dallas Cowboys and it goes viral...

Back to reality when I hear it from the actual Jones family or somebody up there at the star then this is all big time rumors

I don't see anyone trading for him given his contracts. His CAP number this year would only be $9 million for the team that takes him, if he plays the entire season but its the next 3 years that might be a problem if he does not return to form after the injuries.

My only issues with trading him now is his value is as low now as it will get. His salary guarantees on the 5th day of the league season so if they cut him it has to be soon or there is no sense in cutting him. The other issue depends on how far along he is with his recovery. It is my understanding he might start the season on the PUP list but he will play this year. If that's the case, again depending on his recovery, then cutting him now creates another urgent need at CB. That's not necessarily a bad thing as they Cowboys might have a shot at a top CB in the first round. They can still fill needs at RB and DT later in the draft.

Dude, isnt this the same argument you used for shooting down the Schottenheimer to HC rumors?

I doubt Diggs is going anywhere, but we dont have to wait for Jerry to announce it to have discussions about situations. If thats an issue this is probably the wrong place for you.

I’m in favor of moving on from Diggs. Always liked Diggs but after two knee surgeries in two years and with that big contract, he needs to go.

But…I will be shocked if any team would be willing to offer any kind of pick. Why? Because if teams know he’s being shopped they also know they could get for nothing after he’s cut AND would not have to pay his big contract.
Diggs had a couple of good seasons in Dallas. 2021 season was awesome to watch. Now with 2 knee surgeries and a boat load of other needs it’s time. Maybe Quinn offers something.

Could huge increase in cap, future projections of cap being similar, one year low cap hit for diggs...

Could the situation be right for a team to gamble on him right now?

One year low cap hit, but in 2026 when his cap hit increases he might be healthy and the NFL cap might be 300M lessening the risk

If he does get released, CB becomes a top 3 priority. Bland looked horrible last year. Diggs looked decent when he was playing, so maybe there was a fall out with the front office? He tore his ACL 2023 would think you’d have to give him 1 more year to prove that he’s fully back.

Maybe they’re just done with him. Sad he’s only 26 years old lol.

Trevon Diggs is hoping for a bounceback season in 2025, currently recovering from a knee injury that led him to season-ending injured reserve in 2024.

The record-setting All-Pro cornerback has since undergone surgery and, per fellow All-Pro defensive superstar Micah Parsons, is on the mend, in good spirits and well on his way to returning to the field for the Cowboys.

"He had a successful surgery," Parsons said. "I talked to him, and he's doing real well. He's in Dallas and he's doing exactly what he's supposed to do. He's the ultimate competitor. He knows when he comes back, and he'll be back real soon, he'll be great.

"It's just all about regaining stability and resting."

I'm looking to Kentucky for a youthful stud.

I dont think his contract is a "big" one.

Nethertheless after a trade players usually get a new contract.
