Report: Dez Bryant pulled diva routine during Rams visit
Posted by Mike Florio on April 21, 2010 9:46 PM ET
Last year, word emerged that receiver Michael Crabtree acted like a diva during a visit to the Browns. This year, the top receiver on the board reportedly displayed similar traits.

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch wrote in an online chat today that he has heard Bryant "pulled the diva act" in a pre-draft visit to the Rams.

When Crabtree unexpectedly fell to the tenth overall pick in the draft, Crabtree's former college coach, Mike Leach, teed off on the Browns. Hopefully, the Rams won't encounter similar treatment from Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy.

After all, he's a man. And he's 40.

Jim Thomas: I know the Rams have some interest in LaFell, but I don't know about taking him in the second round. I think Thomas and Tate would be good prospects at the top of the second, but I really don't know how the Rams feel about them. As for Dez Bryant, I heard he pulled the diva act during his visit to Rams Park (not unlike Michael Crabtree, apparently), so I wouldn't hold your breath on that one.

Now thats some hard hitting reporting.

"I heard he pulled a diva act".....

No details, no nothing. And newspapers wonder why people aren't buying them anymore.

God I hope he falls.

Me as well.

He's got rare talent and could easily have a huge impact next season.

Not that there's any excuse for being unprofessional, but can you blame a guy for not wanting to make the best impression on the Rams.

Besides, they don't even explain what a "diva routine" is. Seems like they just wanted to make a Mike Gundy reference.

Exactly!!!!

Who can blame the guy for not wanting to play for the sorry arse Rams???

When Dez watches how hard Miles works at being a great receiver and how much effort Roy Williams puts into being a blocker, he will fall into line.

Why post garbage like this? "I heard he pulled the diva act"

Good grief. There's a reason this guy has earned "The Daily Turd" label, no reason to put junk like this out when he offers up nothing more than that.

It says "Mike Florio" there. No further explanation is needed.

They make a claim and don't support it? Thats like some of the posters around here saying, "I heard X" without posting any citation.

He pulled a diva act, but not only did they not offer any proof, they didn't even explain what exactly he did.

I balk at this.

Maybe so he will get a bad rep and fall all the way to the Cowboys at 27? :laugh2:

How pathetic..."he pulled a diva act"....really? That's some insightful information he provided there.

How do you come to these conclusions?

Wanting a special talent on the team does not mean I think what we have is garbage.

Go find you a Washington Commander Jersey with the number 81 on it ...... ******.

I don't know.

Draft position has a huge impact on your rookie contract.

Most people wouldn't be willing to throw away millions to cinch NOT being drafted by the Rams.

Having said all of that, there's no way to know what Bryant did or didn't do. People get skittish just before the draft ....
