Sure but I am saying you are mistaking cause. Teams move on from coaches after a year or two on the regular. It is rare to see any coach last 5 years. You admit that teams are less patient with coaches than they used to be. That is a mechanic that explains the outcome. This is why I was for Belichick. I think he's one a few coaches (maybe even the only one) that the Joneses would defer to on decision-making.
Landry was part of a different era where we didn't have the salary cap to contend with, and I mentioned that back when I did the research. You'll find that every Super Bowl coach (although there may be one exception, I can't remember) in the salary cap age has taken their team there within the first five years of becoming the team's coach. Now, you could say that's because if they didn't get them there, they wouldn't remain coach (and I can't argue against that), but that's what the evidence shows -- five years or bust. I did that research back when Garrett was coach and it became one of the main reasons I wanted him to be replaced.
Sure will, everyone will come back we will be 12-5 again or make the playoffs, and he'll get a HUGE extension!!!!
lol, Geeez....what is Jerry supposed to say ? ... " McCarthy our HC has been very underwhelming, and some future decisions will have to be made "You have got to be kidding me. Only Dallas Cowboys if this really happens.
Report: ‘Feeling around NFL’ is Mike McCarthy will return to Dallas Cowboys in 2025
It is starting to seem more likely than not that Mike McCarthy could return to the Dallas Cowboys in 2025.
Jerry Jones has been dropping breadcrumbs left and right for a few weeks now. At just about every turn or radio appearance, Jerry has expressed confidence/optimism/support/call-it-what-you-want in favor of Mike McCarthy as the head coach of his football team. It should be noted that Jerry did not exactly do this back in January when it would have made sense (in a literal sense, not a contextual one) to extend the skipper. As we are all aware, he chose to let McCarthy (and a majority of his staff, including new defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer) run at the season in contract years which has existed as a cloud hanging over them throughout the entire campaign.

And he should be given at least two more yearsYou have got to be kidding me. Only Dallas Cowboys if this really happens.

That’s because our starters didn’t include any decent WRs at 2 , 3, or 4. Tolbert and Brooks both belong on the PS or not at all. Flournoy has shown nothing, not 1 thing in his rookie year. Jerry bringing Zeke back and wanting him to start set us back, and starting 2 rookies on the OL in spots they didn’t play in college is something only garbage rebuilding teams do.That's what we did this year. Look at us now lol Before anyone say injuries. We looked terrible with the starters also, other than vs the Browns.
Another year? This tank will last several years lolThat would be a clear signal we plan on tanking another year.
Exactly.Jerruh, Stephen, Dak, and even Aikman have all been praising him this past week. Almost seems orchestrated. One thing is for sure, Dumb and Dumber don't give a crap how the fans feel
It's all about keeping Jerry comfortable. You have got to be kidding me. Only Dallas Cowboys if this really happens.

Don't discount those two straight wins! We competed this year!!Giving a coach a lame duck year then re-signing him is so cowboys I almost expect it to happen
