An apparent drag race between Seattle Seahawks teammates Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch got out of hand Tuesday.

The drag race occurred right outside of the Seattle Seahawks’ practice facility on a public street, and it ended when Jackson crashed his black Corvette into a planter box and stop sign, according to TMZ Sports. The incident took place after practice.

The cops say there's no evidence of drag racing.

Very sad to hear. I bet they wish they still had Christine Michael on the roster if those guys miss time.

If they were being reckless then that's very irresponsible on their part and unfortunate for the team to instantly lose 2 RB to non football related injury.

Notice they never wreck a Geo Metro. I almost cried when Suh wrapped that 70 Chevelle SS around that telephone pole.

Glad Dallas didn't pick up Jackson now, imagine that kind of influence around Randal.

Seahawks never recovered from SB loss.
Never recovered from chancellor holdout

One more loss and they will spiral out

UPDATE (10 P.M. ET): While Fred Jackson did indeed crash into a stop sign after Tuesday’s practice, the Seattle Seahawks running back was not drag racing teammate Marshawn Lynch, according to local police.

“There is no evidence he was drag racing anyone,” Renton, Wash., police spokesman David Liebman said, via the Seattle Times. “He was leaving the facility, and he was clearly driving too fast when he hit a street sign.”

I like Cameros, (my favorite is a candy apple red 68') but the Chevelle SS is a thing of beauty too.

My first car was a 68 Camaro, burgundy. My buddy had a 69 SS Chevelle. He had a 427 4 speed 4:11 rear with oval port heads. I had a 396/375HP with large port heads, 4 speed, 4:56 rear. We both had the exact same cam, 576/553 lift & 304/314 duration. He had a Holley 780 vacuum with a dual plane intake and I had an 850 mechanical with a torker intake. I used to kid him about his Chevelle being a boat :D and always behind me when we would line up.

I never got all the boat Chevelle love  when you could have a Camaro or Firebird

I'll take an 87' Grand National with it's V6 and kicked the ever living crap out of your 68' Camero. :)

Not in the quarter mile.

I ran a Grand National with my old 71 F100 rust bucket pickup. I had put a 455 Olds in it. Stock bottom end. 3 angle valve job on the heads. Crane Fireball cam with rhoads lifters and Offenhauser intake, 850 mechanical carb, 3:73 posi. I had a stock fuel pump tho. I had the GN by 2 car lengths up to 85 mph and then the stock fuel pump didnt keep up and he passed me. He prob would have got me anyway on the top end. I changed the fuel pump the next day.

But a GN wouldnt hang with my Camaro in the quarter. He could pass me and keep going tho. It wouldnt hang with the boat Chevelle in the quarter either.

Didnt those run high 13's?

I'm sure performance wise that is a good car. It isn't aesthetically pleasing. Looks kind of boring.

The GN is notorious for stealing peoples pink slips because they are so unassuming when they reach the line. I've seen people lose Mustangs, Cameros Corvettes, and slews of old muscle cars.
