He could have fired McCarthy at any point and hired deion last year.

Jerry sees this team is not setup for the future at all. They are screwed in terms of the cap and have very few players that they can build around.

Deion has said multiple times he would not be interested in coaching Dallas. And even if he wanted to. Jerry will offer him peanuts-while Deion wants diamonds. Not going to happen. IMHO

I’d rather have Deion than Kellen although Kellen is the far safer pick, I’m just tired of looking at him already and he hasn’t even been hired yet.

I’ve long said that my opinion of Deion was that I wasn’t sure he’s a great head coach (not that he couldn’t be) but a great recruiter and getting college guys to buy in. I’m not sure that translates to the nfl. I’d still roll that dice than hire Kellen.
