Report: Jonathan Allen Given Permission to Seek Trade

He hates losing he shouldn't want to come here, probably go to an AFC team or Detroit or something, who knows!!! Would love him here, but he'll surely be replaced by OSA! Welcome to Washington Osa!!

30 yrs old, about to need another deal.

Wonder what draft competition they're asking?

You know I remember a few years back the board wanted to pick up Payne to pair with Osa. Now it looks like it might happen in Washington.

I saw this coming. he got hurt early last year and came back late last year.

Also, Wash. needs to recoup draft picks from the Lattimore trade.

But if he is released and becomes a free agent, he will have plenty of suitors.

That surprised me. I figured they would extend him a couple of years. Then again, this is a draft to go get DTs.

He is not a good fit here. If he signed here, it would only be for the money and that's rarely enough motivation to get the best out of a player. Players play best when they think the team is a contender and they don't want to let their teammates down. Dallas doesn't have the roster or locker room to get the best out of a guy like Allen.

Yeah I don't see why an up and coming team doesn't try to retain a great player. If I had to guess it's an age/production/pay formula which they don't think is worth it.
Especially one like Washington who already has a ton of money to play with. They dont really have to move on due to financial reasons, this would be them electively moving on from the player.

True ......you could see it coming, especially with his contract. He's a good leader.....I would think the Cowboys would certainly be interested if he's released or a low pick.

electively moving on from a player? I'm a Cowboys fan, I have no idea what that means. I thought teams were supposed to overpay and hang on to guys well into their less productive years.

I wonder if NE wants him?

Barmore has a blood clot issue. 128mil in cap space.

He’s Zack Martin at this point. Average player with a great reputation that people think he’s still elite outside of their own fan base

My guess is it's a combination.........his current contract has no guaranteed money left. Pretty sure he's asking them to restructure, trade or release. Sounds like both parties decided to move on.
