I've been watching since the 60's and I've never seen it this bad.

Mike hit the nail on the head when he said it's tarnished the brand, the franchise, the legacy of The Star and you can't continue down that path.

Landry's last couple of years were the worst till now - but I only felt bad for the coach, not the entire franchise.

The Campo/Gailey years were bad, but understandably so. There were college teams with more talent than Dallas.

This is unspeakable. With limited exceptions (Dez, Ware, Newman) the rest seem uncarring or incapable. Sad, incredibley sad.

That's fine, but I think the consequences that Jerry spoke of need to extend beyond the hc. It's time to review tapes (if necessary) and bench the guys who have tanked it the most.

Otherwise, the message is that no matter how much you neglect your job, the worst that will happen is a coach gets fired. That puts the players in the driver's seat.

It doesn't matter if the backups play worse...it's about changing the culture of the organization into one that maximizes the talents of those who do play.

Jerry said in the interview that it wasn't just one, or two, or three, or four things, but that he had a lot of decisions to make. So I have to believe that several changes are coming.

Wade Phillips has his regular 4 p.m. press conference scheduled for Monday afternoon. I'd be surprised if he's still employed by then.

Ideally, I wanna get to work tomorrow, log onto ESPN and here and see news. Not just that Wade's gone, but that Garrett's gone too.

I wanna hear that Davis, Colombo, Barber/Jones, Witten, Austin, Olshansky, Spencer, James, Brooking, and Jenkins have been benched in favor of: Costa, Young, Choice, Bennett, Dez, Bowen/Hatcher, Butler, Lee, Williams, resign Cletis Gordon. If Church or AOA aren't good enough to surpass Ball at FS, do anything, cut Ball and bring in Q.Demps if needbe. Benched players can play on special teams return/coverage squads.

Things seriously can't get any worse... at least I hope not.

One problem..... your not a reporter. All you said was one of your "unnamed" sources said he would be gone by Wednesday. So what?? Anybody can say that because it's OBVIOUS that was going to be the case. I honestly think you don't have a source, or have a source that just said that information because it's obvious that it's going to happen. Jerry didn't go into his office and call your source to tell him that did he? Then it's not a report, just an opinion.....

I never expected there would come a day that Witten and Austin would deserve benching. Gosh how far we've fallen.
