Duke Manyweather on Tyler Guyton

would they give up on him this soon, I wouldn't mind a backup OT drafted, that possibly can come in and play in time if needed
Guyton needs seasoning and baptism by fire seems to be the way forward. Hope someone decent can come in when he is hurt or out of breathe.

Philly bullied the league last season with their OL .

Cowboys should invest in the best linemen they can and play them at their best position, if that means pick one at 12 and Guyton moving, then they should.

Shuffle whoever, no matter draft status, but make it work.
Philly has had a great O-line for years. Saquon and a defense that finally had a talented secondary to go with a pass rush made the difference. One unit doesn't win you a superbowl.

I hate to state the obvious, but I'm already resigned to Guyton getting this year and next year before they jump ship. He needs to get stronger as much as anything else. That's where the biggest leap needs to be. He should never have started the season last year. They have destroyed this kid's confidence. And he had no real experience at the college level to even fall back on. It was a perfect storm of ****. It's up to him to grow up and figure out how bad he wants this. That's what Duke meant.

I did not say that one thing would win us a superbowl, obviously it would not, but is a good start.

Relax we knew he was a project when we drafted him. We probably shouldn't have started him at LT when but here we are. Especially during his rookie year. His only option early in his rookie year should have been RT since that is what he played in college (mostly).

All we know for sure is guyton was terrible enough to get benched. If he took a giant step forward this year he'd be average. I hope he does ok but I won't hold my breath.

They forced the Guyton pick because they NEEDED an OT.

He may still turn out being good. But he was raw, and played like trash last year.

So we shall see what the future holds. Hopefully he makes some big positive steps.

I hate to hear this particularly from Duke. Does this signal draft choice
Even if Guyton eventually pans out there's still Steele who needs to be replaced, so yeah, churn the roster, add an OT,,, fix those trenches, THATS how Philly won, in the trenches on both sides of the ball.

You know what this means .....

With 12th pick in the 2025 NFL draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Josh Simmons OT Ohio State.
