They have no shot at the #2 seed if Philly wins.

The top 4 seeds go to the divisional winners. So even if Dallas finished with the 2nd best record in the entire NFC, if they don't win the division, they can't finish with a Top 4 seed. So no, they can't win the #1 or #2 seed unless Philly loses.

If Philly wins. If they lose yes Dallas could take the #2 spot unlikely the #1 unless SF were to fall vs Cards. I'm sorry not buying into Philly is invincible they blew vs Washington with Hurts and had their shot at Dallas and New Orleans with you ensured Philly would win. Dallas in my view still has things they need to clean up and you don't do that by sitting guys. Lastly Cowboys have done it before were we sit starters leading into post season and did not work out so well. so yes there is a pro and cons on both resting or playing guys in the last game

Well, there be time down the road where the Giants will need the Boys to help them get into the playoffs and that will be the game where all the starters, 2nd and 3dr string players are told to stay home. Payback is a b@#$%^h.

They aren't losing to a bunch of backups from NY.

End the dream now.

I wish the league would put an off week between the regular season and post season. It would help cut down the number of teams resting players making that final week mostly meaningless.

even at full strength the Eagles would beat the giants and by more than 1 score

this league? having a whole off week with no games on tv?

if that was bought up in meeting they'd all collectively poop their $700 armani pants

I hate to say this but there is no reason why the Giants should play their starters Sunday. If I was them I would be getting ready for Minnesota and feeling like they have a chance to win that playoff game.

that's what i'm saying

they win or lose they're locked into the 6th seed....i fully expect them to play jones and the rest of the started 2 or 3 series before you see the 2nd and 3rd stringers

Chess move: The Cowboys provide every indication they’re playing starters and then don’t.

It will be an easy win for Philly...just like the Cowboys against their backups last year. Waste of time for Dallas to play their starters against Washington, they shouldn't even make the trip. Should be living in the film room preparing for Tampa

and that is why I would play our starters with exception of guys who are being listed as doubtful like Hankins, LVE and Biadasz. Even if the Cowboys can't win the #1 see they could take the #2 seed and the home playoff game that goes with it.

Not worth the risk IMO, or the ability to get an extra week of healing. If there was a Bye at stake, that would be different

Absolutely. They need to win to secure the #1 seed and as the #1 seed they get week of rest anyway so it makes sense to play the starters. Now I think they'd probably like to have Hurts get even more rest for his shoulder, so that's at least one thing Philly is being forced to do that they probably don't want to do.

Other than guys that were going to be out anyway due to injury - Johnson, Gardner-Johnson, etc. most of their starters will play. How long? Likely depends on where the game is going in that first half.

Hurts should be able to lead them to a quick 3 score lead against their backups and then take a quick seat as minshew takes over (I mean, he pretty much destroyed their STARTERS pretty quickly, so who knows what he'd do against the guys worse than their starters)

He'll probably be able to start resting by mid 2nd quarter,...then have 2 weeks to get back to 100%
