Of course they're resting their players. Anyone who thought differently was fooling themselves. Philthy will mop the floor with the GiAints.

I guess this officially makes their HC a liar.

Did he have his fingers cross when he said they weren't resting players?

He's a coward. Doesn't want to take any chances, even if it means the team won't be ready for the playoffs. The Giants need all the confidence they can get. Getting blown out a 2nd time by the Eagles isn't doing it. But it gives that fat blob another year coaching the team.

Booooo. I hate the Giants anyway. Now I don’t have to act like they did me any favors.

My opinion....teams should be fined for resting starters. The more you rest...the more you pay.

The idea of adding a 17th game to the regular season when teams can just rest starters is BS. I don't give a darn whose rested or tired. There are 17 games on the schedule. Unless you have a legit injury, you should be playing.

The issue is, with limited rosters teams can sell it by only resting a few players. The Giants have about 6-7 guys worth resting (Jones, Barkley, Lawrence, Williams, Kayvon) and the rest should be playing.

The +14 on NY kind tells the story.

Bingo. I held out hope maybe they would play starters but after the press conference earlier this week where he hedged and said they would do what's best for the team and then the line came out and it was massive it indicated that Hurts was likely gonna play and the Giants were benching starters.

If I were coaching the Giants I would rest my starters too. What's the point in risking injury to starters when the game means absolutely nothing. The Giants have a playoff game the week after this so of course they want a "bye" week.

If anyone thought the Giants would go all out to help the Cowboys...

So backups vs backup? lol Not going to happen. should Philly end up losing with backup playing and lose the #1 seed all hell would break loose in Philly. Fully expect to see Philly starters playing in this game, they have had 2 games to clinch the division vs Dallas and NO and blew both chances.
The city would burn...

They did show up. They had a double digit lead in both games. They failed to close.

Just like a 2-0 lead in soccer, a two score lead is dangerous. Especially in the second half (like our games) You think you’ve got it sewn up..when in fact you are 2-3 plays from being down.

Hopefully we learned from those mistakes heading into the postseason.

We should be resting guys too. I would rather play healthy on the road than risk injury to a key player on the hopes we get a home game.

Agreed. We had our chance to get the 1 seed with ease and blew it. We blew 2 games with big leads against average teams. Even win one of those and we have it. Win both and this week means nothing, ala 2016.

And we need even more help to get the 1 seed now. We not only need Philly to lose but also SF. And that absolutely won't happen. Arizona is a complete disaster and are terrible. The 2 seed is also nice but you still have to play wild card weekend.

We will be the 5 seed. Rest up and go get them next week. We have zero to prove with that game

It can't be about where the Cowboys play. It's about exercising playoff demons. Location need not matter when you are dealing with demons unless you play in a church which is not possible. ;)

Expect the Giants to get steamrolled in the Wild Card game if they play against a team that doesn't rest their starters like cowards.

They're most likely playing Minnesota which is very winnable. Best chance for an upset that weekend so I'd be ecstatic if I were them.

One time should have been enough but it wasn't. They let it happen in Jax yet again after the GB meltdown. If they truly learned from it, we would be sitting here right now controlling our own destiny for the 1 seed. No lead is really safe with how easily our defense gives up the huge play in the secondary and then our offense going ultra conservative at the same time.

If I had to put money on that game, I'm taking the Giants and the points. Easily.

Winnable for the Giants, yes, but I'd bet Minnesota simply because they've no doubt heard the creampuff chatter and will have a lot to prove. They'll cover too. Anything less and the chatter continues.
