Oh I apologize, I know it's only been 10 seasons. I was just responding to the OP. Did you mean me or the OP? I'm on your side with this! Romo is the Dallas Cowboys quarterback.

People are still trotting out the made up game categories I see. I think a few years ago, some of the dopes on here called them "lights shine bright" games or something similarly stupid. Little did they know it would take on a new meaning thanks to the sun at Jerry World.

I truly wish we could win it all with Romo under center. I just don't think he's capable of holding up, physically, anymore. He can't take a hit.

Watching that video reminded me even more. He got slung to the ground in a twisting motion (no real hit on the back), and he could barely get back up.

It's sad to see because I love Tony. But I'd be willing to bet that he has as many doubts as we do when it comes to staying healthy while playing football.

How can you not like the guy, I mean the guy.

Looks like Dak may be made up of a lot of the same qualities.

I would love to see a ring on Romo and Wittens finger, just hope the team can be put together to do that before the age and injuries catch up with them.

Making the Playoffs IS Challenging for a Super Bowl. If you don't remember when that has happened, you are beyond anyone's help.

I suspect if you asked a Patriot fan they would have a far different interpretation of challenging for a Super Bowl.
Low standards around here!
They have won TWO playoff games in the Romo era. To me a final four appearance is challenging otherwise you are a pretender.

13, 10, 8, whatever you choose to call it. Enough is enough. Again it is WRONG to hold his feelings above what is best for the team and organization. If they bring him back after what Dak has shown... It would be BEYOND foolish. Not to mention you could be putting his long term health in serious jeopardy. Selfish.

His high QB Rating and heart will be remembered for many years to come.

#1 his long term health is his decision. It is not, nor should it be, a factor to the Cowboys. If Romo is healthy, and wants to play, you don't hold him out because it might effect his health later down the line. He makes that choice, not the Cowboys.

#2 Romo is what is best for the team. Right now. Today. He's the better QB. Period. What Dak is doing is great. It can't be said enough. But anyone thinking that Dak is as good as Romo right now is simply crazy.

If those guys want the best chance to win, right now, then they want their franchise QB back. They want Romo in there. He's the best shot at winning now.

Going forward into the future, obviously Dak is the better option. He's younger. He's got longer to develop into a big timer. But for some of the older guys on the team, like Witten, they don't have the time left to wait for Dak to develop the experience or QB savvy that will be needed to win it all.

That's why when Romo is healthy Romo will still be the guy.

I don't buy this. Dak has the ability to win it all right now. If you look at Romo's 2015 stats and how the team responded when he went down (2-14) there is NO WAY you can make a convincing arguement that he is our better option at this point or someone we should turn to.

There is a LOT of talk that Jerry Jones has already moved on from Tony Romo and obviously many of our fans have as well. He had a GREAT run. Those 2 playoff wins over his career will hold good memories for some people. Not to mention his high QB rating.

I do think having Tony on the sidelines and in the film room will help Dak grow tremendously. Again, turning it back over to Romo at this point is the recipe for a complete disaster.

Yeah I hide my face too if that was my record in big games
All divisional games are big games. They all count exactly the same. In the regular season anyway.
Plus, of course, it's not golf, but a team sport.
Shouldn't have to mention the obvious, but with some people it's necessary.

Couldn't agree less. My first question is when was the last time you saw a rookie QB win it all? I may have forgotten a time (I'm getting older now of course) but I don't recall a single situation where a rookie QB ever led a team to a Superbowl championship.

That doesn't have anything to do with any of the QB's physical abilities either.

You're going to see, the longer he plays, how much experience plays a factor against the better teams.

Dak won't have it. And that experience is invaluable when it comes to crunch time (Late season and playoffs).

Dak is a fantastic rookie with a mega ton of upside.

But he won't gain Romos knowledge or ability to control a game from the QB position when times are tough, and tight, against the better teams in one season. That takes a few seasons of growing pains and learning from experience.

Dak will have plenty of time for that. He's the QB of the future, I believe without question. But the future is not right now.

Now that of course is all my personal belief and opinion. As I've said before the Cowboys could decide to simply go with him for the long term now. I don't think that will be the right decision for this season but that's not my call.
