Respect for J Lew

Dang. I had no idea the severity of the injury he suffered in 2022. Love his fire, intensity, and fight. Glad he is on the team

J Lew is a gritty player, and we need as many gritty players as possible.
The attitude that he brings in the locker room alone not even talking on field play, but both are symbiotic because JL doesn't just talk the talk.
JL can walk the walk and lead by example, he should be a team captain, maybe he is, I don't know actually.

He's playing his best ball so far this season. He cleaned up many penalty issues from earlier in his career.
He has become a solid vet in this secondary, and it's nice to have DBs getting healthy, Bland is next up.
Top DTs are somewhat equivalent in value to top DBs in this game IMHO, so Dan Quinn brought something and left something for Zimmer.
Quinn did Zimmer a big favor in the way he influenced the back seven build.

Agree but I wonder why Zimm refuses to play Bell. He was one of our top defensive players last season playing out of position at LBer. I thought for sure we would see either starting or getting major snaps at SS this year.

Juanyeh Thomas the little he plays seems to have that Jourdan Lewis attitude . At the very least in 2025 Thomas & Bell would signal a younger safety tandem going forward . And a CB I hope # 27 Amani O starts opposite Diggs again against Detroit

That is funny because I have been wondering the same about this.
Bell may be finding a special role soon, Zim can not be ignoring Bell, maybe this upcoming schedule we have some special blitz packages with Bell and Overshown.
Pressure has to be applied and without Parsons and DLaw, we need the speed from the edges big time.

He has played better than Carson if we are being honest.

What's odd is Bell was one of our best run defenders last season until GB exposed him.

The penalties were my main issue with him. Hopefully he continues to not get flagged. He's had a great year so far.

He had to play that role due to the Overshown injury so Bell was playing out of position and why I believed that playing more of a strong safety role would be a strength now that he was performing well at LB.
With Kendricks uncertainty at the time, Bell will start getting some snaps.

He shared, recently, that he fractured nearly every bone in his foot and shredded every ligament and tendon to varying degrees, some completely torn altogether.
"I didn't think I'd ever play again," he said. "[I think] about that everyday."

That definitely sounds like a career ending injury.

Had no idea of the severity.

For sure! I remember the play he injured it on bc it was an INT. He looked to be in pain and discomfort— but every bone shattered and ligament torn?

Damn! That sounds like a grenade went off in his foot
