I liked two things Dallas did yesterday . Threw to the Tight ends in the end zone .

Schoonmacher was mugged in the end zone drew pass interference putting the ball at the one and Spann Ford should have caught the back of the end zone pass , Dak put it in his hands .

I’m searching for offensive hope .
That was a great defensive play.

Brady is not walking through those doors in Dallas. Belichick W-L record is hot garbage before and after Brady. Stop falling for the okie dokie.

Im a proponent of a Tyler&Tyler OT.

I think Bebee will be a better OC than he is an OG. I think right now he is fat. He allegedly came into the NFL with 30% body fan (according to McGinns anon scout). I think it shows with him not being a very good 2nd level blocker right now. It will get better once he gets leaner. Right now, he is good at styming interior pressure

Tolbert has been decent, but he is probably more of a 2012 Laurant Robinson type, than a real #2
We both agree that they need another top flight receiver

The culture of this team is broken and only a strong experienced head coach with some serious skin on the walls can change that. I agree 100% we need more quality players at key positions but there is no leadership. Even if they get a few players and start winning, I wouldn't trust them coz there are no leaders to keep them grounded. In other words, until Jerry hires a coach who's willing to make winning a Super Bowl a top priority HIS WAY and has authority over all football personnel, it will be the same history repeating itself.
I agree, it’s the same cycle, have a good year, then slowly regress as the front office never looks to improve the team

Being honest I would hate 8-9, this team needs top talent. I think the rams got Aaron Donald like 2 picks before us because we finished 500 and picking something like 18th and the rams nabbed him a couple of picks before us. As we can see the last couple of drafts picking in the 20’s have not been kind to this team. At least picking in the top 8 may help them.
I want a top 10 pick this year!

Yes. As on right now we are trotting out at least one non threat. Brooks can be single covered an completely taken out of the game. And frankly Cooks could be taken out of the game with single coverage too. Really tightens the field for you

Good teams will continue to play zone, get pressure on us rushing 4 and force us to throw the ball underneath.

Problem is we can't get to 3rd and short because our running game sucks.

The good news is that we have 2 rookies on the OL that will only get better. Cutting Steele and signing or drafting a rb will instantly improve the offense. Steele is the worst tackle in the NFL and we have the worst running backs in the NFL. So, the only way to go is up.

Cutting Steele is a back dead cap hit. Another great ACL extension by GM Jethro. Most likely move him to swing tackle. Doubt we could trade him.

It’s really bad. I’m curious what the new staff will look like?

The Jones are strange in the way they will interview the Rooney rule coach and then pounce on one guy instead of doing an extensive search like most teams.
I wouldn't be surprised if Mike Zimmer is the HC next season. It's Jerry's way. But after how bad this defense has been this season making Zimmer the HC is a very tough sell. Whoever we pick will be a retread HC that was fired elsewhere before.
I can see Steve Spagnuolo who is the DC for the Chiefs. He was the Giants HC before.
Or some other guy over 55 years old and failed elsewhere.

He's not tradable. Nobody is taking that contract given his performance. The important thing is getting him off the field.

I think the OL potentially could be in place without Steele, but they need a few skilled positional players and upgrade both the rushing and passing schemes

They need a lot of work to rebuild this team and the money is all lined up for 1 player already on the team. So not sure how that makes us any better.

They have some pieces in place, don't think they need to sign mass fa's to fix this roster. Just speaking about the offense, we need another legitimate WR and RB. We know WR is always the deepest position in every draft and you don't have to spend a high pick on a quality back. Even without Steele, I do believe they have enough for the future of the OL. We have a very good stable of young prospects that just need experience.

Steele has always been a really good run blocker. Any chance he could kick inside and take over RG? Bass at LG. TG at RT. Would allow you to potentially fix the OL without committing more premium resources in upcoming draft.

This is not a Dak must go post, he is under contract and he is remain the starting QB for at least 2 seasons.

How do you fix this offense from personnel and scheme?

-Offense truly lacks any legitimate skilled positional players, outside of Lamb. They basically are playing bottom of the roster types at both WR and RB. Clearly, they need another alpha type receiver who will allow Lamb to see less attention and a legitimate explosive back.

-OL is in flux. Steele is a legitimate cut candidate after this season, he just hasn't returned to his pre-injury form. He is a major liability in pass protection. Guyton is a green rookie that seems to struggle with inside moves, he just needs more reps/experience as he possesses all the natural tools. Richards has always looked good in camp, the team needs to give him more of an opportunity. Zach Martin isn't an elite player anymore, is Beebe a better Guard then a Center? Solari has been a downgrade as the new OL Coach. They must replace Solari with more of a modern coach who is adverse with today's rushing schemes.

-MM scheme is totally outdated and easy to defend. There is no pre snap motion, rarely do we see a basic screen, receivers are always covered and he never stays with the run game, even when it's working. When you watch other offenses, you see receivers wide open, but never within this offense. Offenses today model the Shannahan/McVay, ton of pre-snap motion, mis-direction and easy reads for the QB. Problem here is they have pretty much the old air coryell type of personnel, which demands that the OL hold up in pass pro.

Like I used with the defense, the Lions are a good comparison to how you build a elite offense:

Goff-is real good when his run game gets going and doesn't move off his spot.
Montgomery/Gibbs-power/speed combo
St. Brown (their Lamb), excels in the slot, Williams the true speedy deep threat
LaPorta-an excellent all-around TE.
Their OL has 2 stars, with the rest working well as a unit-Sewell, Ragnow

You just look at their personnel and scheme, the Cowboys are no where near that type of unit. Sure, they have some parts, but need to start adding other pieces.

Year 1-should be landing that #2 receiver and addressing the RB position.
The real fix isn't possible

I must think we are also losing no one next season.
