1. 7th or 8th grade. Just don't remember but we had a teacher that just did not like me but liked another student because they were friends with that students parents. That student would always get away with stuff that the rest of us would get in trouble for doing. Everybody in the class seen how it was.

One day while the teacher went to the office that student went up on the chalkboard and wrote something about the teacher. Can not even remember what it was but it was something nasty.

So when the teacher came back he saw it and demanded to know who wrote it on the board. Well this student pointed at me and said he did it.

The whole class said no he did not it was your pet student but the teacher did not want to hear it.

So off to the office we go. It went even farther as the teacher told the principal that he seen me walking away from the chalk board when he had came back into the room so he had caught me doing it. I told the principal that the teacher was lying and he could ask the whole class but he took his word over mine. Well that was back in the day when they paddled so I got a paddling.

Well I went back to the class and to rub it in, to try and one up me the teacher gave me his coffee mug and told me to go get him some water from the fountain and he had this screw you and just do it smile on his face.

Well the water fountain happened to be by the bathroom and I happened to have to use the bathroom at the time. So I saved a couple of "drops" for his mug and then went and filled it up with water.

I brought the mug back to him and told him... I peed in your cup, he said, yeah right and went to drinking his "fresh" water.:laugh2:

2. In the army your time at a specific duty station can be good or bad largely depending on leadership. If you had a good platoon SGT, 1st SGT and Company commander it can be great. You would do everything in your power to do a great job for them and not disappointed. The proverbial run through a brick wall scenario.

However if you had one of those that was bad...you were in for a rough time.

Now I am not talking about being nice vs mean. I am talking about being fair and competent.

Well we had one SGT that had no business being a platoon SGT. We had three squad SGTs. Two very good SGTs (one a ranger) and then we had one bad squad SGT. Guy's uniform and boots always looked bad. He was as dumb as a box of rocks and I swear to you the guy looked like Bull from Night Court (for those old enough to remember the show) but with hair. Guy even had some of the same mannerisms as him. It was really freaky.

Well he was a major kiss up to our Platoon SGT and always got good evaluations. While the other two SGTs that were much better never got good evaluations because they were not butt kissers.

Anyways we were in an Ambulance Platoon but our Platoon SGT refused to let us carry some equipment in our Ambulance and med bags. One of them being IV Needles. Keep in mind that we went out to the field more than any other unit because we not only went out with our own company/battalion for field exercises. But we also went out to provide ambulance support for other units when they went out for field exercises or even just for weapons qualifications or railheads. So in other words anything could happen and we needed all the equipment we could get. But she was so afraid of needles coming up missing or some silly stuff that made no sense. So we had everything to give an IV except...IV Needles.

Well a few times we actually needed IV needles on a mission but did not have any so the company we had went out with called our 1st SGT asking why the medics they had attached to them did not have IV needles and the 1st SGT asked why we did not. We informed him that our Platoon SGT refused to allow us to have needles. He asks her if it was true and she, covering her own skin, said that it was not true. We could get IV needles any time we needed them as long as we let her know. Even the 2 of the 3 squad SGTs just looked at her with their mouths ajar. Of course the other one, the butt kisser who always got good evaluations, shook his head yes like he agreed with her.

I had a look on my face like I was getting ready to blast her for the whole company HQ to hear but a buddy of mine seen the look on my face, grabbed my arm and just shook his head no.

Even the new LT (was just assigned to our platoon earlier that week) apologized after the meeting as she did not know the history but knew the Platoon SGT was lying. So we were not mad at the new LT, plus it didn't hurt that the new LT was SMOKING hot little lady.:D

So about a week or two later we got our revenge on both the Platoon SGT and the butt kissing squad SGT.

For the squad SGT. For some reason he always kept an extra uniform and pair of boots in our platoon building. Well one of my buddies took a hacksaw to the dudes boots and tore the heck out of them. Then another buddy took spray paint and painted stuff all over his uniform. Including what was to look like a pair of lips on the backside of the pants although it turned out just looking like a blob of red paint.:laugh2:

Now for the Platoon SGT. We were thankful that she was leaving for another duty station. Everyone was happy about it, except for the butt kisser. So she had about a week to go and she brought in all of her equipment to turn into the supply SGT and the Supply depot. Stuff like the pup tent, Helmet, protective (gas) mask and other equipment.

She kept the stuff in her office and during the week she was cleaning them to turn in on Friday as part of her out processing. When she finished she put all of her stuff in a duffle bag to be ready to turn in on Friday.

Well one day after work we went back into the office on a dirty dozen mission.

Well let's just say that when she went to turn in some gear she was short a kevlar helmet, a protective mask and pup tent.:laugh2:

She was furious when she came back because she had to go buy new equipment before they would sign her out processing paper work and she was due to catch a flight on Monday.

She blamed us all and of course we did the innocent act. She was not buying it and said she would turn everyone of us in. To our surprise the two good SGTs and the new LT stepped up. They told her that she had no proof that any of us did it and if she tried to press the issue and get us in trouble they would be sure to tell the 1st SGT, Company Commander, SGT Major and Battalion commander that she flat out lied about the needles. They basically told her to take her medicine and move on to her next duty station with a life lesson.

That felt pretty good.:D

Man! That must be a real pain in the ace, having to carry a pile of dirt and a bunch of buckets and shovels around on the truck all the time?

:muttley:
Your fire departments don't have shovels? We didn't use any buckets. The dirt was provided by mother nature.

He wasn't that wild, but he was scary fast. I struck out swinging both times I faced him. I don't know that I even saw the ball. I have a ton of respect for guys who can hit a Major League fastball.

I mOved to Florida from Louisiana in 1988. I am a Real Estate Appraiser and was invited to work in a firm under a 50/50 fee split with me doing all the residential work. After about three yrs, the owner came and asked me to sign a non-compete agreement. I was recently divorced and would not sign a paper that may require me to move a distance away from my kids if something happened. I had no protection. I ended up signing a paper that basically said I would not solicit his clients if I left his firm. Things were going well, I was making a lot of money and my boss was making a lot of money. Then in 1992, on my way out of the office He stopped me and told me he was unilatteraly changing the fee split. He decided he was going to get 2/3 and I was going to get 1/3. He said it was not open for negotiation and if I didnt accept it He understood and that would be it.

I had remarried at this time and my wife and I decided to open up our own firm. I told him the next day that I would not accept that fee split and would be leaving. I left a couple of weeks later. The night before I left he attempted to salvage the deal and said he would stick to the original agrement of 50/50. I told him the train had left the station and I was leaving.

I never had to solicit his clients. All I had to do was tell them that I was now working on my own. About a year later he shut down his office. He didnt have any work.

He really was a good man, but just got greedy.

Good story. I have a hard time liking most teachers.

My story is similar, in that involves bodily fluids. Several years ago, I became convinced that my now ex-wife was having an affair with a co-worker. She rarely cooked, but one night she made a bunch of fried chicken to take to work the next day for lunch. For a variety of reasons, I knew it was for him too.

I got up early the next morning and added some seasoning to their chicken in the form of spit.

Looking back, I probably should have done more.

Oh, and they're both teachers.

I checked with an attorney first. As long as I did not ask them for their business it was ok. Letting them know I was IN business was not a problem.

Appraisers are different than REal Estate Agents. I am not sure what fee arrangements REal Estate Agents and their brokers have or how it operates. I think different companies have different pay arrangements tho.

I can hire somebody in my company and pay them 1% or 100%. there is no directive on that.

I always enjoyed doing inspections for appraisals. I did one for an apartment complex one time. I think it was 56 units. I checked serial and model numbers on every A/C unit, heat pack, fridge, stove, dishwasher, and disposal in every unit. Windows, doors, sinks, and faucets. Gave them a life expectancy on all of it. All in all it took me about 8 hours to compile, complete with pictures of each A/C unit.

Nice paycheck for that 8 hours. I was wishing I could do that every day.

I don't know if this qualifies as revenge or just payback.

The summer after I got out of the military I worked with my now ex brother in law doing soil cement construction work. One of his friends worked their also. His name was Ricky and he is basically what you picture when you hear the word redneck. Well we were on the job and it was a really hot summer day. I went to get a drink of water and Ricky throws a cup of ice ice ice cold water on me. I just looked at him and said ok I'll remember that. Later on in the day I saw him asleep, as usual, on the back hoe (not sure if that is spelled correctly). As usual he was wearing a pair of overalls with no shirt. So I get me a nice cup of ice water and sneak up to him and throw that water on him. He jumps up and I look at him and said I told you I'd get you you back SOB. After that we never had another problem. :laugh2:

I have been doing it for over 30 years. There is nothing I have not seen. Even walked in on a few people doing the dirty deed, taking showers, had guns pulled on me, dogs chase me, cops pull me over for taking a picture of their house. Even did a house where the owner had just murdered his neighbor but had not been arrested at the time. He had a MSNBC show made about him. He is the one that put poison in coke bottles and then was able to put the coke tops back on without anyone knowing. Wierd guy. On death row now.

I should write a book.

I have one you will like then. Greystone Apartments here in Tucson. It's like 7 stories high. We gave 2 weeks notice. 1 week notice. 48 hour notice and 24 hour notice that the apartments would be entered for inspection.

So we open the door on one apartment and the living room and kitchen area is right out of Homes & Gardens. I'm telling you it was charming. I opened the bedroom door to check the window mount A/C unit and there was a rack, saddle, whips, and all kinds of outfits hanging in the closet.

My boss at the time, a very sweet lady, said, "boy what a difference between the bedroom and the rest of the house. This looks like something out of a nightmare."

I said, "she's a dominatrix."

She said, "a what?"

So I had to explain S & M to my boss.

She said, "oh don't be ridiculous. This apartment is rented by 2 of Tucson's more prominent attorneys."

I said, "well, they like to be beaten before sex."

She said, "they're both happily married."

I said, "think about it."

lol, what goes on behind closed doors. Sounds as tho your boss at that time was as naive as my first wife. Most people put their stuff up before I get there. And in fact I have had some home owners tell me that I could not open up certain closet doors.

Early on in my career I had to appraise a tract housing subdivision. All the homes were one of four models but I had to go thru each one and all the tenants were given notice. I walked into one model and asked the tenant if I would bother anyone if I walked thru the house. She said no so I proceeded to a bedroom and opened the door. I pushed the door open and started writign on my clipboard. I head some noise and looked up and saw some big dude just going to town on top of his wife/gf/whoever. My eyes locked onto the girl who was looking directly at me. She never made a sound. I mouthed to her that I was sorry as I was bumbling stumbling trying to close the door and she mouthed back, "that's ok". The guy NEVER slowed down. He was in the zone.

I didn't finish the rest of the house. My thought process was kind of over at that point. I knew early on that I loved my job!!!

When I first joined the Army there was motor a motor pool sergeant who was a Sergeant First Class.

This guy was a total jerk when he did not have to be...totally had short man syndrome.

Of course myself being a Private First Class at the time, I was just fodder for him.

I was selected for a Green to Gold scholarship which meant I would get commissioned as a 2nd Lieutentant upon graduation from college and ROTC.

I left my battalion at Ft. Stewart Georgia for a couple of years, to return to Univseristy of Houston to go to school and ROTC.

I went back to the same battalion roughly two years later after commissioning as a 2nd Lieutenant to visit a couple of friends who were still in the same battalion as the motor pool sergeant.

I noticed on the plaque outside of the company that the old motor pool sergeant was now the company 1st Sergeant.

It just so happens the day I went to visit, was what they call organizational day.

Essentially a day dedicated to mandatory fun...all soldiers in civies just having fun.

I saw the old motor pool sergeant walking around in his civies just as I was, and purposefully walked up to him and said "Sergeant, do you know where Spc so and so is?"

Of course, you do not call a First Sergeant "Sergeant".

He looked at me and said "YOU, YOU MAY CALL ME FIRST SERGEANT!" with plenty of attitude in his voice.

I looked at him and calmly replied back "First Sergeant, you can call me Sir!"

The look on his face was indeed priceless.
