Oh, that Green Bay game. That’s the only Green Bay game worth watching unless you want to go back to the early 90s.
I like to watch the one when we beat Rodgers in his debut platter we knocked Favre out the game.

Rodgers almost brought them back in that game. You got a feeling then that he was going to be something special. I don’t enjoy reliving that game even though we won because it was the beginning of the end for our 07 team. We took our foot off the gas in that game and were never the same team that year.

It's been a while since I watched this one. Based on memory the offense was rolling initially but GB adjusted and Dallas didn't.

I think this was the game where the ball bounced off TWill and resulted in a pick-6. They did get away from throwing that type of pass to TWill in following games. TWill has the odd limitation that he struggles with short, quick passes. The ball gets on him before he can react. I recall that play being a short out route but he also struggles on slants. He is much better on plays that are almost identical to the slant but are 5 to 10 further downfield. It seems that he needs the extra time to focus on the ball to be able to catch it. My point being that the coaches should have known this limitation because we've seen it in previous years.

On defense GB had success with the run but Dallas kept Rodgers fairly well in check. Dallas sold out to defend the passing game at the expense of giving up yards in the run game. I'm OK with that plan against GB because their running game is usually lame and they have one of the best QBs in the league.

The big struggle on defense was penalties at the very worst times. Not sure if that's coaching or the preferred treatment that most other teams believe GB receives from the refs.

In general I think the defense exceeded expectations last season. The defensive coaches had many limitations in regards to the roster.

The offense on the other hand failed to meet expectations. They've spent almost double on offense as compared to defense but didn't get their money's worth. I think much of that can be blamed on coaching; although, the Cowboys might have the worst WR group in the league and no longer have a dynamic TE to overcome the WR limitations.

I think I'll pull up the game and re-watch again to see if my memory was accurate.
Your thought on the fade to Dez, at the end of the game, when they should have been running the clock? My thought, idiotic coaching!

I just have a question, how many of you actually go back and watch the games, like they unfolded?

I think a lot of people don't and then the narratives take hold.

When I'm super bored, I replay games and watch just one player on either line the whole game. o_O

And then we go softer than 90 year old guy looking at a fat chick....

Since I'm a hell of a lot closer to 90 than almost anyone on this site, may I correct your post. Softer than a 90 year old looking at any chick.

There is an expiration date on your little buddy. No one really talks about it. Probably to prevent suicides.

I DVR them.

My wife and I jockey who gets more space, the football or her Law and Order episodes.

It is really sad when you find a terrific Dallas game has been replaced on the DVR by several Hallmark movies.
