Wow. Now the Cowboys are in trouble. Glad he's been working on something in the off-season.
“If I ever felt like that was an issue, or if he was spending more time trying to create logos than he was working out and getting himself ready to play, then there’d be an issue. But there’s no issue in my mind. I think nowadays, these quarterbacks and these players in general, they have people do a lot of work for them. They have these mangers, these agents, and these commercial people working for them, and they’re doing all the work. I don’t think Robert’s doing any. He’s just signing off on it. Adidas is doing all the logo things for him. So if it’s extra money for him, have at it.

Think it's the same as those that want to knock Romo for playing basketball. These guys have lives, imagine that.
RG3 aside, I think people who can create logos like that are really impressive. It's actually pretty dang cool just as a design piece.
The Air Jordan 1 was designed by Peter Moore. The Air Jordan 1 was first produced for Michael Jordan in 1984, in a red and black colorway to match the uniform of the Chicago Bulls, the team for which Michael Jordan played. This red and black color-way was later outlawed by NBA Commissioner David Stern for not having any white on them. Michael Jordan would wear the shoes anyway, and each time he stepped on the court with the Air Jordan 1 he would be fined five thousand dollars.
This is not unprecedented either--Nike released its Air Jordan brand in 1984, for public consumption in 1985, before Jordan was anything more than Griffin is right now: An immensely talented, charismatic player who hasn't proven anything. Can you imagine if Griffin did this?
